In the previous chapter, Jinha said that Sword King died in his past life, but somehow, someone who did not survive monsters is going up against Jinha with his new skills and his future sss rank skill that he will get. Spoilers & Explanation
I will summarise a little more of what happened in the novel. Well, JInha freed him from mind control. He told him to kill Ito Shizuru to make up for what happened while he was brainwashed.
So, Sword King goes on a rampage in the Japan base (while they are having a nationally ranked game because Seong Jihan got OP enough to be on the national team), and Sword King makes them lose the game for attacking them until Shizuru arrives.
Sword King getting freed triggers an auto-eject from the match where he was. To prevent being mind-controlled again. He gouges out his own eyes. He then does the rampage a bit, then Shizuru escapes.
Sword King hasn’t fully broken out of the mind control yet. Only the obsession effect remained. However, that means it enhances his desire to kill Shizuru. And that gives him some intuition about her location.
Sword King then takes the Japanese national team as hostages for demanding them to hand over Shizuru. So, Shizuru sends a clone of her, but because of the remaining status effect, he knows it’s not really her.
Then he leaves the national team building and starts hunting her across Japan. Jinha meets him along the way to Shizuru’s mansion and asks him if he wants to remove the status. But Sword King doesn’t until they end Shizuru.
The obsession effect essentially means she can’t escape. They kill her and find out she is contracted to the Succubus, a constellation. Jinha then uses a technique that ends up obliterating her soul, and then Sword King returns to Korea with Jinha.
In his previous life, the sword king breaks out of Shizuru’s control during a match with elves and then disappears and goes searching for his wife (Jinha’s sister is alive), who is pissed with her husband and makes him into a monster, which the sword king accepts and then goes on to destroy Japan.
She becomes a witch of the void fraction, which is kinda responsible for cleaning the battle net system. Yes, she is alive in this life and also retains the memories of the previous life, but after Jinha saves her, she is so pissed with her husband sword king for fooling with Shizuru and neglecting their daughter that she divorces him.
She knows Sword King was manipulated, but she still holds him responsible. Actually, she has seen lots of regression of Jinha, and she saw that in all those iterations the sword kind gets manipulated, and her daughter dies. So she gets pretty mad at him. The sword king pretty much accepts the divorce but lives downstairs in the sword palace.
