Recap
In the previous chapter, Isellin and Elunbes were fighting against the dark magician who was responsible for the downfall of elves and stealing their life force. This was all happening while Joshua was bust fighting his doppelganger who was super strong himself. The doppelganger was at least a kingdom rank monster.
Lugia kind of found that doppelganger pretty fascinating and it was very much unexpected. The magician was brutally overpowering the elves on the other hand, and they were having a hard time handling that guy by themselves since none of their attacks seemed to work.
The person’s partner panicked at the sight and used ice magic to freeze the magician over and used ice spear to deal some damage. However, the magician was not affected by it at all and he found the attacks to be useless. Both of them were in really bad shape by then.
We were all sure that one of them was about croak but suddenly the floor split open which even surprised the magician. Finally, Joshua made a dramatic entrance and began attacking the magician who sent him back flying. Everyone panicked at the sight of the unconscious Joshua since their hope had just been crushed.
The magician looked very pleased by himself for doing that but another Joshua suddenly appears and begins fighting him. There were apparently two Joshuas, which no one had predicted. Joshua manages to push the magician back and now he revealed his final cards at last.
