There are many Easter eggs and Stephen King allusions in the horror-comedy Shining Vale, which could be disastrous for Pat’s small dog, Roxy, on Shining Vale. In Shining Vale, the Phelps family relocates from their Brooklyn flat to an old, supposedly haunted property in Connecticut.
She is the only one who notices anything unusual, though, and Terry, her spouse, doesn’t take her claims of seeing ghosts seriously.
The Phelpses relocate, bringing Roxy, their little puppy, who causes trouble in Shining Vale episodes one and two. Roxy vanishes for a little period of time after Pat Phelps (Courteney Cox) takes her outside to use the restroom at night because she believes she hears someone in the trees.
Later, as Pat is trying to write in her new writing annex, the attic, a ball bounces across the floor in her direction, diverting her attention. She turns to check, but it’s unclear if Roxy is in charge of the ball because she’s standing there staring at her.
