And, if you are also wondering the same thing, then you don’t have to worry because, in this article, we are going to answer in detail whether Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San Manga has ended or not. But before knowing the answer to it, let’s catch a short recap of how the romantic story Miss Nagatoro started.
Manga Plot
The story of Nagatoro begins with an otaku character, a wimpy senpai, Naoto, finding four girls in the library when he intended to be alone and work on his homework and read his manga.
However, the four younger girls discover his manga and quickly start to make fun of him for it. However, they then leave him alone. But one of those girls stays behind, miss Nagatoro.
After she seems interested in the story that her senpai has written and illustrated, she quickly turns everything upside down by revealing how pathetic and spineless her senpai really is.
She verbally assaults him, teasing him for his obvious lack of experience with girls and how he’s trying to escape into a fantasy of his own creations to make up for his obvious deficiencies.
Naoto tries to hide away and cower like he’s always done with all of his previous bullies and tormentors, but Nagatoro doesn’t relent. And for the first time ever, he finds himself crying while he’s being teased.
And then she Nagatoro him a handkerchief and tells him to keep it. And whoosh, she’s gone. The next day, our spine-less senpai tries to give it back, which only leads to yet more teasing, and now the senpai’s fate is sealed.
Nagatoro Bullying her Senpai, Naoto!
Nagatoro is going to be a daily occurrence for him. Honestly, there’s really nothing romantic or redeeming about their friendship and how it starts. Nagatoro teases him mercilessly and puts Naoto into very compromising and embarrassing situations, and her friends get in on the action as well.
Going even further to torment him in ways that should make you feel uncomfortable, like going and grabbing a girl’s breast only to find out that there are bean buns in there.
About Nagatoro, we learned that she isn’t interested in people who aren’t passionate. The reason for that becomes much clearer later on in the manga, but you already get a glimpse of it when Senpai compliments her for her judo skills, though Senpai is a wimp he clearly loves.
And Nagatoro finds that alluring and endearing. Hence, Nagatoro develops feelings for him and invades her senpai’s life with her antics.
Is Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San Manga Finished?
Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San Manga is not finished and is still going on with over 139 chapters as of the second week of November 2023. Even though the manga has been running for six years, the story is not near its end.
The best thing about romance/slice-of-life anime is that they run for a longer period of time. And the same goes for Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San. And since it is a bimonthly manga, it gives another reason for running it for a longer period of time.
As of 139 chapters, it doesn’t seem there is going to be a confession between Napto and Nagatoro any time soon. So, the manga will run for at least two years more unless the mangaka has already some plans to end it soon.
