We never expected Serena and Dia to get along because Dia was Eiser’s lover in the past, but she is also a conniving and selfish person. Serena was obviously jealous of Dia because of her history with Eiser and the fact that they were still talking in private and whatnot. She was pretty much fuming and seething because of that.
Dia gave Serena another reason to hate her with the painting incident. The gallery was displaying the ballerina’s painting by Marianne, which was actually Serena’s favorite painting as well. We will see how Dia will plan to forge the painting’s authenticity in Serena Chapter 61.
First of all, Serena was dead sure that the painting Dia had hung up in the gallery was actually a fake. On the other hand, Dia is sure that the painting is original, and Serena is just trying to drag her name through the mud or she has been conned. However, Serena’s mother was a huge fan of the painter, so there’s no way Serena is lying.
This has pretty much made them mortal enemies, and any hope we had of them settling their differences is long gone. They surely dislike each other and will continue to do so for a long time. To make matters worse, even Eiser is not especially fond of Dia, the woman who walked all over his heart.
Serena is a romantic drama that is set in a world parallel to the industrial development era. We don’t see many manhwas set in that era because most of them are from the Victorian era or something similar. The story itself has been pretty much filled with angst since the beginning, but the main couple are beginning to warm up to each other.
Our MC really doesn’t trust her husband and hates his guts. However, now that the misunderstanding is being cleared up, they are getting closer to each other. In this article, we will be talking about the release date of Serena Chapter 61, recap the previous chapter, and tell our readers where they can read the manhwa.
Recap
In the previous chapter of Serena, Dia’s father gets really mad at her for the stunts she pulled off because of that ballerina painting. Dia was going up against the famous Serenity family, which has a lot of prestige and power, so obviously, things might not turn out to be in her favor.
Dia’s father was pissed because he had pulled strings to make her the director of the gallery, but now the image of the gallery was at stake itself because of a stupid bet she placed in front of a crowd against Serena. Dia’s reputation and her position as the director are now at stake.
Eiser caught on to that fact pretty quickly, and he also knows what kind of person Dia is and the personality of her family overall. They would not shy away from bribing or threatening people to get their paintings appraised as genuine, no matter the reality. Serena also knew that, but she was determined to find another way.
The fans were all super excited because they thought Serena and Eiser might kiss and take a step forward in their relationship, but that did not happen to our disappointment. However, Eiser did show his trust in Serena and the fact that he is ready to support her no matter what.
Serena was pretty drunk when she grabbed his tie and hugged him before she fell asleep. Eiser carried Serena out in his arms, and he saw Frederik, who was waiting for Serena outside. Eiser doesn’t trust that guy and doesn’t like him either, which is understandable because he was supposed to be Serena’s lover till recently.
Eiser also knows that Frederik had been planted here by someone to steal something that even Frederik had no idea about. However, Frederik was now on Serena’s side, and he wanted to find out what the guy who hired him was after so that he could protect her.
