Recap and Review
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 16 is titled “Thunderclap,” and the episode opens up with a teaser for what is to come next for the fight between Jogo and Sukuna as the former remarks how unbelievable the strength of the latter is.
After the opening ends, we dive into the other fight that was sure to take place in the episode, which is the one between Toji and Megumi. Both are unaware of each other identities. Megumi is surely cautious and is surprised at how strong and fast Toji is. He notes that he has no cursed energy, adding that Toji is like the perfect form of the Maki.
Given that Toji is willing to fight him, Megumi tries to picture an image where he can win this fight, but seeing Toji, there doesn’t come a single image, and thus, he plans to escape with the Rabbits, and as he summons them. He notes the presence of Sukuna’s finger and wonders what is going on in Shibuya right now. Toji, however, instinctively jumps in the escape rabbit and doesn’t let Megumi get out.
The extended Toji And Megumi Fight
This fight in the manga only lasted for a few pages in the chapter as Megumi was on the verge. But Mappa decided to extend this fight. Thus, we see a bit of combat added scene where Megumi doesn’t picture an escape, and since he cannot use a domain, he resorts to hand combat, where Toji single-handedly beats him while dealing with Megumi’s rabbits.
The rabbits try to attack Toji in this extended fight, but Toji uses the rubble to kill these shikigamis. Pushes Megumi to a different area. As the fight between them continues, Shoko and Principal are in a nearby area, and the latter says that he is there to protect her no matter what, given that she is the main asset in healing sorcerers.
Meanwhile, we see that Kusakabe and Panda are looking for the B5 platform to get Gojo; however, the former says that there are other people as well who need help, and the world doesn’t revolve around Gojo.
But in reality, it is revealed that Kusakabe is only afraid of going to the area where even Gojo was sealed, and he doesn’t want Panda to leave him alone as well since he is too afraid to be alone in Shibuya right now. As Kusakabe finds a way to stall, they are greeted by a few of the curse users who used to work for Geto.

The End of Toji and Megumi’s Fight
Cutting back to the scene, we see that Toji has pushed Megumi to an alley after literally throwing a truck at him, which is also an added scene in the anime. Since there is an alley, Megumi thinks that this might be good as he can only worry about him attacking from the front.
Thus, he draws Toji closer to him and, using his Shikigami. He makes Toji miss his step, eventually resulting in missing his attack on Megumi, leaving him with only a scratch. and goes to attack Toji with a sword but to no avail as Toji is way too fast and takes a step back after taking a closer look at him.
Toji gets a closer look at Megumi, recognizes him, and then remembers about the time he was making a deal with the Zenin clan. Following this, Toji asks Megumi his name, and upon hearing that Megumi goes by Fushiguro and not Zenin, he is glad and stabs himself in the head.
Megumi is perplexed about what has happened but moves on, saying that he should find others and get them to Shoko, but the guy that Nanami had almost beaten to death comes and slashes Megumi from behind, saying that this is what he is supposed to be doing this.
Sukuna Having Fun And Revealing A New Technique
Before this fight, we see that the followers of Geto had parted ways in the Shibuya, with Nanako and Mimiko wanting Geto’s body while the others wanting to follow what Geto wanted to achieve, and that is only the sorcerers to prevail.
As Kusakabe and the curse users argue over what they are going to do, Sukuna is then seen fighting with Jogo, throwing him around, and he asks if this is all he has. The latter does his best to land a single, but Sukuna seems to overpowered.

Sukuna literally bullies Jogo into using his strongest attack, which is a Meteor fireball that comes down on Shibuya like a sun. We see that Kusakabe warns everyone to get out of there, but Sukuna arrives there and informs them they cannot move until he advises them to, and as this attack comes very close, he lets them go.
As this attack ends, Jogo is confident even this attack would have harmed Sukuna, but the latter appears to say that this would have if it had landed and proceeds to ask why he doesn’t use his domain. Jogo says that he knows he won’t last in a battle of domains.
Therefore, Sukuna says that he will fight him on Jogo’s terms and uses a fire, which surprises Jogo and ends the fight after learning that Jogo only wants to stand on equal terms with humans. Sukuna praises Jogo for being one of the strongest he has fought.
After this fight concludes, a woman comes to talk with Sukuna, and he recognizes her calling Uraume and is excited to see her. Meanwhile, a small context sees Megumi being heavily injured while the curse users that beat him ask for his help fighting the Shikigami that Megiumi has summoned.
