After dating for about a year, Lori Harvey, American model and adoptive daughter of the famous comedian Steve Harvey, has parted ways with the British actor Damson Idris.
Harvey and Idris shared a joint statement with The Hollywood Reporter on 7 November, explaining their decision: “We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication. We part ways, remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
Dating rumors between the model and the Snowfall actor began spreading in December 2022, when fans started spotting them in multiple outings together, including in a West Hollywood restaurant.
The following month, the pair confirmed their romance on Instagram, with Harvey sharing a collection of photos from her birthday party with the caption, “If you missed it, I hate that for you.” Idris also started sharing photos of them on his Instagram story.
After ending her relationship with famous American actor Michael B. Jordan, Harvey told Essence in a 2022 interview about the qualities she was looking for in a prospective partner: “My experience has taught me that I need somebody who respects me—somebody who understands and respects my standards and my boundaries and is a supportive, God-fearing man, family-oriented, and makes me feel at peace.”
