Since she is a naturally curious and innocent lady, one night, while secretly walking in prison, she finds an imprisoned man deep in the basement.
That man is the male lead, Lichdoruan Von Hernim. The Ducal family of Hernim has a hereditary power that is passed through generations. And when one can not suppress that power, they are imprisoned here in Kambrakam.
These people can not leave until they find someone who can suppress that power, and that is because that power renders them “beasts.” It makes them lose their sanity and have the supernatural powers of a beast.
The kind and innocent female lead unshackle him once she hears his situation, and as soon as the male lead is released, he turns into a beast, and the rest is censored. And here is when a nose-bleeding-worthy, sexy, and abusive villain appears. And that is when the abusive love triangle starts.
Recap
Previously, in I Met The Male Lead In Prison (2023) Chapter 15, we saw that Lyana had gotten Lichdoruan under control. He was now listening to all that she had to tell him. She brought cookies as treats to give to him when he did a job well or performed a task right.
Lichdoruan then asks Lyana to feed her the cookies. For some reason, Lyana felt like her name sounded very strange. She was not used to this. She then tells Lichdoruan Von Hernim to hold her softly as he begins to hurt her hands, though he does not have his strength under control.
It is strange and weird for Lichdoruan Von Hernim as well because there was no one who cared for him in the prison before. He hugs Lyana and tells her that he will do anything she asks him to. All of a sudden, Lichdoruan collapses and falls on the floor. Lyana thinks to herself that it might be another magical side effect.
Lyana covers Lichdoruan with a blanket so that he does not catch a cold. While she is covering him, he holds Lyana’s hand and tells her not to go anywhere. She promises to be back and gives the cookies to him before leaving.
This all began one day after Lichdoruan was bewitched. His visits and walks were prohibited. New shackles came from the Capital to experiment. Now, Lyana did not know what to do to break that spell. She felt helpless. We will see what happens in the prison. There is another new character to enter in the next chapter!
