This time we look through Shadow Garden’s eyes as they try to stop John and Yukime’s scheme to undermine trust in money. The show’s signature irony pops up in funny ways that highlight the flaws in both sides’ plans. Meanwhile, Alexia and Rose grapple with feeling weak, hinting they may gain strength soon.
And we get intriguing introductions to Gamma! That is why fans of the series are really excited to find out what is going to happen next time in The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Episode 6.
The latest episode opens with Gamma briefing Alpha about business matters with Mitsugoshi. Protecting cargo shipments is crucial. Gamma echoes worries from before about the Alliance’s overextending credit. At this rate, their monetary system may collapse. She assures Alpha that Mitsugoshi’s ties to Shadow Garden will remain hidden.
Then a special guest arrives – one of the strongest Clovers working for Gettan! Alpha considers the best response. She asks Nu to handle the intruders, but Gamma insists on battling a Clover herself. Alpha compromises by sending Kai and Omega to support Gamma, hoping to keep things under control.
Recap and Review
Gamma’s face turns red as she walks down the hallway. She is excited to cut loose. Beside her, Omega and Kai are nervous. They do not want to do what is coming next.
Until now, we have only gotten a short introduction to each Shadow Garden member. But little by little, we have seen more depth come out in these characters. We have also seen fun, ironic relationships form between them. Last time, Beta took on a new leadership role in combat that she was not used to. Now, we finally get to see Gamma’s full magical power! She is very powerful but also very clumsy.
After the upbeat opening song, we see the Clover guys who were sent to take down Luna, the manager of Mitsugoshi.
It seems too easy that they were able to get into the Mitsugoshi building so smoothly. But they keep going forward cautiously… Suddenly, the mischievous trio of Gamma, Kai, and Omega happily greet the unwelcome Clover men with slaps to the face!
As with most big fights, “Leaf One,” assumed to be the strongest Clover under Gettan’s command, starts battling the mysterious powers of Gamma. Leaf One doesn’t take Gamma seriously at first. He jumps above Gamma to karate chop her on the head.
If you thought that sounded silly, Gamma’s reaction to the karate chop was even more absurd. Shadow’s love of roleplaying must have rubbed off on Gamma the most because she cries about the karate chop hurting her head. She complains that the cliche attack she expected was supposed to be a “frontal attack.”
In a surprise move, the scatterbrained Gamma pulls out a magical artifact and channels her powers into it like a sword to strike Leaf One. Leaf One admits Gamma is “very fast” but also “amateurish” in her fighting technique.
He guesses she uses the Western Liechtenroi style of fencing. However, that knowledge doesn’t help him counter as all Gamma can do is repeatedly cast the same frontal magical attack.
Leaf One counters again, right on Gamma’s head, and she takes it well again, but with some whiny tears this time, like a disappointed father just smacked his misbehaving daughter’s head.
Leaf One is totally shocked as his attack hits Gamma directly, like in a Pokemon battle. Gamma focuses more of her magical power into her sword and spams her attack again, but with greater force, this time, blowing Leaf One backward.
