As he is getting arrested, Gi Cheul is filled with shock to see that Eui Jeong is present there and sees him that way. In anger, Jun Mo rams a cop car, leaves with him, and hides at a secret location.
Chang Sik, played by Lee Jeong Heon, gets an idea to get Jung Bae, played by Kim Seong Jae. Having no choice left, he contacts the Japanese buyer, Oyama.
He got all the buyers and dealers arrested. Later, Kang San asks Jung Bae if he should get paid for Hae Ryun’s products, asking her to meet him personally. As Jun Mo requested, she is ready to release the intel about the Japanese buyer.
Min Goo also finds out that Do Hyun was just playing along as Jun Mo and tells Hae Ryun. One thing to note is that Jun Mo’s undercover name is Seung Ho, and his real name is unknown.
She asks Jun Mo about his true feelings and whether she will stay there or leave. He tells her all the truth, and after listening to his truth, she is filled with emotions and decides before fleeing, she is going to kill Min Goo.
Ending Explained
Gi Cheul and Jun Mo go back to the ports for the drug deal. Jun Mo has already planned to arrest everyone in China, Japan, and Korea. At the same time, Jun Mo handcuffs Gi Cheul in the car and reveals his true self, which breaks Gi Cheul’s heart.
Simultaneously, the Chinese factory gets raised by the cops, Oyama gets arrested by the Japanese cops, and everyone else gets arrested by the Korean cops.
Gi Cheul leaves the car after finding the car keys in the car, which were left deliberately by Jun Mo. The mission is finally completed, and Jun Mo and Eui Jeong move ahead with their lives, questioning their relationship’s future.
They reach home and see Gi Cheul is waiting for them.
He knows that they were married from the start and were betraying him. He confronts Eui Jeong for doing what she did to give him false hope about life. Her doings will be considered a sin. Despite knowing exactly what she has committed, she tells Gi Cheul that she is ready to live with this guilt.
To make matters worse, Hi Cheul points the gun at himself, indicating he is to die by suicide. But Jun Mo beats his intentions by shooting him in the chest to save his wife from more misery and pain.
Their mission was filled with deceit and a web of lies, but still, both the characters truly cared for Gi Cheul in their own manner. Before turning into a drug boss, Gi Cheul was a DJ.
He became friends with Jun Mo and thought that he would leave all this behind after falling in love, but in the end, he was betrayed by all of them, which leads to losing his life in the process.
