Nox has proven once again why this manhwa series is named “Terminally-Ill Genius Dark Knight.” Despite being diseased and almost crippled, Nox has still managed to single-handedly defeat Taigan the Great and his troops. The Fans already knew that Nox would win this battle, but no one thought that Taigan would suffer such a disrespectful defeat.
The main, who has been praised his whole life for his strength and skills, got defeated by a mere brat, and that too in the blink of an eye. With Taigan finally meeting his end, May has been saved from his torment and finds peace alongside Nox. Recap
The chapter opens up with Nox entering the Cell where Taigan is holding May hostage. Taigan notices Nox entering the Cell, and so he asks him to state his reasons for being there. Nox gets straight to the point and announces that he is going to execute Taigan by the laws of the Imperial Family. Nox also suggests Taigan just surrender as he has already lost his Partner Ron.
Taigan smirks and says that it’s rather unfortunate that he lost his partner, but it is still foolish of Nox to attack him alone. Taigan unsheathes his sword and says that Nox must have underestimated him a bit too much, but Nox doesn’t get scared, instead, he smiles and says that he will win.
Taigan gets infuriated by this mockery, and so he orders all of his troops to ambush Nox and kill him. All the troops rush towards Nox, but he stays cool and calm. Nox activates the hour of the Genius, which freezes everyone for 5 minutes. He then proceeds to pull out his sword and cut everyone down in merely 5 seconds.
Nox reaches May and gives her some medicine to heal her. May manages to get a glimpse of Nox, and she then falls asleep. Nox promises May that he will end everything before she wakes up. “The Hour of The Genius” ends with 4 minutes and 55 seconds remaining, and everyone starts to move again.
Taigan turns around and sees that Nox has reached May, which means that he defeated everyone, but he still hasn’t seen it all. The brutal massacre of Taigan’s troops that Nox displayed in merely 5 seconds goes through Taigan’s mind as his brain tries to catch up to what just happened.
Taigan falls to the ground because of the wound Nox inflicted on him during the Hour of the Genius. He struggles to believe that what he’s seeing is happening, and it’s an understandable reaction because anyone would freak out if their horde of troops died in merely seconds.
The shock was doubled for Taigan as Nox is a mere teenager while he’s hailed as Taigan the Great all across the region for his exceptional fighting skills. With death catching up to Taigan, only one question remains in his mind, ” What does it mean to be a genius?” more importantly, he wanted to know what the word “Genius” means to Nox, who is already a genius.
Taigan’s brain gets filled with doubts regarding his achievements so far and how he was defeated by a mere brat while Nox approaches him with steady steps. With a swing of his sword, Nox puts an end to Taigan’s misery once and for all.
