The male lead didn’t know how to make sense of all of it, so he let the topic be and went for Jasmine. Richard’s relationship has changed a lot in the last few chapters, and he has started to cling to her. Though, given his looks and position in the royalty, the female lead doesn’t mind the advances.
Richard took his advances as his cue to start the deed until they got a knock on their door. Making the male lead furious as to who would disturb them, but he couldn’t voice his anger as it was the crown princess who had called her. He left for her in a gown, not caring that he would be in front of his servants.

He shows some signs of being a Yandere in the process, but he has the wisdom of his sister. The crown princess looks like someone that had been the ear for love affairs for a long.
Even though this is a series taking place in a historical setting, there are not many inconveniences that many know about. It’s fiction, so those inconveniences are overlooked for the sake of the plot. Also, there is the element of fantasy too, so that had a big hand in making things good for the series. As for Richard, his decision doesn’t seem to be mendable by any kind of magic.
