He further revealed how there was a period where they did not have any contact with each other, and then they got back in touch this year. It was a star studded affair as the former finance minister Grant Robertson served as best man. Chris Hipkins stated that earlier he has been aware of the Wellington rumour mill and he is well aware os how things go round in Wellington.
Hipkins further revealed that a year ago, he and his wife have made the decision that they would live separately, that they would do everything that they can to raise their children together. However, Chris pointed out that that despite this separation they will remain incredibly close while calling her best friend but they had to make that decision in the best interest of their family.
