He was a wonderful and great leader for his high school football team, Salmon River High School (SRHS), and they won the 1A D2 state championship under his guidance.
He was so impressive that he was named the best player in the 1A Division II category in Idaho. He was not just good at football; he was a star in basketball, too. In his senior year, he averaged 29.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game; this went far to help Salmon River win two consecutive 1A D2 state championships in basketball as well.
