The real reason behind Matt Lucas leaving the baking contest, more precisely – The Great British Bake Off, is jumping into another venture. He wouldn’t have much time left to host it, along with working on Fantasy Football League. Matt made the announcement of parting ways with the Channel 4 show last December. Therefore, he hosted three seasons, covering a total of 51 episodes.
It was very difficult for Matt Lucas to take such a step. On this note, he said, “Farewell Bake Off! It’s been a delicious experience, and I can’t imagine a more fun way of spending my summers.”
Even though he was upset with his departure from The Great British Bake Off, Matt was very clear about the fact that he wouldn’t be able to handle both together. He said, “I can’t present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects.”
