After almost eight long years of exciting renovations, Good Bones, the family property show from HGTV, is now going to come to an end. The 8th season of Good Bones has featured several interesting furnishings, but with the last few episodes, Mina and her team are going to go all out on their final few repairs.
Airing on HGTV since March of 2016, Good Bones is your usual renovation and property fixing series that follows Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak Hawk as they find desolate properties and bring them back to life. Karen and Mina are a mother-daughter duo that also runs a company called Two Chicks and a Hammer, Inc., although Laine is no longer an active part of it.
What began as a simple house-flipping hobby led this family to start their show from Indianapolis. Starsiak is skilled in house renovations, and her mother, Laine, is a lawyer, making them a perfect pair to find and restore all kinds of properties.
After eight years of many surprising renovations, Starsiak Hawk recently revealed in her podcast that Good Bones’ 8th season will be the final one on the list. With a family and company to look after, Starsiak’s got her hands full of responsibilities, so these last few episodes of Good Bones are going to be her best work yet.
Good Bones Season 8 Episode 7: Recap
In the last few episodes of Good Bones, we’ve seen Mina and the others work on a house that belonged to their company manager. Brittany recently moved into a country home far away from the urban area and trusted Mina and her abilities enough to give her the project despite knowing that Mina was not as experienced with rural styles and markets.
This project left Starsiak feeling a bit out of her comfort zone as she’s a pro in urban renovations but didn’t get to work as much on something from the countryside. However, the learning experience and exploring new styles is what Mina’s all about.
They lost some of their money in the process, so for the next renovation, Mina wanted to get the best price no matter what. This large lot was a great place to upscale and bring in top dollars for Mina and her company. Everything about the new lot seemed pretty basic at first, but when Starsiak decides to bring in antique doors, things just fall into place.
What the crew behind Two Chicks and a Hammer Inc. didn’t see coming was a mishap that could ruin the whole project. By the end of the episode, Mina successfully dodges the problem and fits in the antique doors without any major issues.

Good Bones Season 8 Episode 8: Spoilers
In the upcoming episode of Good Bones, Mina and the others come across a great place where they can work their magic. Made of a duplex, a carriage house, and two other builds, this property gave Mina a large canvas to work on. However, after the Duplex’s foundation turns out to be a bit unstable, the team has no choice but to start focusing on other parts of the place.
This includes the carriage house, which has enough space to be rented on its own. After renovating the carriage house, Mina hopes to sell it to an appropriate buyer so a good rental income source is established.
