He was afraid that if Elena saw him kill people without remorse, she would become afraid of him. His fears came true when he realized that the female lead had been watching from a tree branch high above. She was crouching close low and watched the scene unfold before her eyes, watching the male lead go on a rampage as usual.
However, just like old times, she tried to give the male lead reassurance that she hadn’t witnessed anything. She played the fool by covering her eyes and asking if she could open her eyes finally. The male lead then went on a poetic assessment of all the time he had spent with her since childhood.
