In the UK version of Married At First Sight, several couples are matched by the show’s producers based on surveys, studies, and other technical stuff. They get “married,” and a filming crew shoots their interactions. They have to get to know each other, live with each other, and be intimate with each other, but all this comes after tying the knot and blindly saying “yes” to each other.
As a result, we see how each couple deals with everyday issues. So far, in this season, as you’ll see in the recap, there are some that are getting along quite well, maybe too well, and some others seem to be on their fast track to the divorce court to sign away the papers and move on with their lives.
Married At First Sight (UK) Season 8 Episode 8 Recap
Here’s a brief rundown of Married at First Sight UK’s couples. We begin with Paul and Tasha, who are getting along well, and Paul’s playfulness and kink in the bed broke the bed for not-so-innocent reasons. Is he paying for it, or are they going to keep having sex on a broken bed?
Then, there’s Thomas and Roz, whose awkwardness points us in the wrong direction, and those two seem to be drifting apart. Either Roz speaks out, and Thomas listens to her emotional needs, or the turmoil is going to be uncontrollable.
As for George and Peggy, he earned her respect and her approval; the two seem happy. Moving on, Ella and Nathaniel are a couple that clears the air; they’re clearing out the air, there are apologies for previous mistakes, and Nathaniel drops a bomb: He’s into dudes, but he is willing to set that aside for women like Ella. Is that even possible?
Portia and Terence seem to be discussing over trivial stuff, like a spoon, yes, you read that right, a friggin’ spoon! Portia is nothing but a high-maintenance woman and that makes you wonder if Terence can keep up to her constant demands because here we have a case of traditional gender roles, but with the twist that Portia isn’t bringing a lot to the table.
As for Jay and Luke, they like each other, nothing much to say there. Shona and Brad, well, they are overly displaying affection, maybe they should get a room. Lastly, Laura and Arthur seems like a slow burn and we’ll have to see how that ends up.
