This special connection between Molex and Rollins was evident in Molex’s title against Rey Fenix tonight. In an attempt to thwart Fenix’s resurgence, Molex employed a move famously associated with Rollins- the Stomp- while they were on the entrance ramp. He even executed a Piledriver on Fenix but could not secure the victory.
The audience in attendance started chanting Seth Rollin’s name once Molexy delivered the Stomp.
Fenix made a comeback and clinched victory with two Piledrivers, earning himself the AEW International Championship. However, there seemed to be an issue with the referee’s initial count. The match concluded in an awkward manner, and it was evident that Moxley had sustained an injury following one of the Piledrivers, although the extent of his condition remains uncertain.
