Shin Joonseoh (MC) can absorb some power from the boss monsters in abnormal dungeons that nobody else can. So that is why he has been going into anomaly dungeons because it helps him to defeat the boss, gain the power, and then use the contract ability to wipe their memory.

Shin Joonseoh (MC) will continue to tag along with under-leveled groups into over-leveled dungeons because it is quicker and ‘safer’ for him to do so to level himself up. Shin Joonseoh already knows they are going into the same dungeons as him because that is where the players would awaken. He doesn’t take the offer to team up with one of the most powerful hunters at the time, who is handicapped by the fact, so he can’t find a reliable weapon.
He could literally do all of the things he’s doing right now with someone who could defend him while he is doing it. He could expedite this whole process, but no, he is going to go into a dungeon, meet one of the villains, almost die, but either be saved by the S-Class hunter or barely beat the enemy, and then go running to the offer.
