In Hero Classroom Episode 10, the plot initially teases intrigue but ultimately falls flat. The episode’s protagonist, Blade, is a clueless character who has no idea what his birthday means or even when it is. His pals decide to surprise him on his birthday after finding out about it.

King Gilgamesh, who is always creative, comes up with a scheme to give Blade a special tonkatsu curry lunch as a birthday surprise. The hero and his allies must go through survival training drills to receive this birthday gift. This survival challenge involves calorie burning in addition to resource gathering, which gives the training a lighthearted touch.

This episode begins with a straightforward narrative but quickly veers into a convoluted and shallow plot. The focus of the episode is brainstorming ideas for Blade’s birthday party, which makes the core plot feel somewhat underwhelming.

Despite conforming to stock character archetypes, the supporting characters do their best to contribute to the training exercise. However, these efforts don’t add much depth to the secondary characters. Ultimately, Hero Classroom Episode 10 unfolds as a typical “survival game” scenario, where characters are tested on their ability to utilize the resources available.

The celebration of Blade’s birthday, which serves as the episode’s secondary goal, highlights how challenging it is for someone to observe a special occasion when they are unaware of its importance. The emotional complexity of this premise is only briefly touched upon in this episode.

This episode can be considered skippable by certain viewers because it feels like filler. The lack of significant plot advancement in this episode makes it difficult to determine whether the program is getting near to its season finale, due to the excitement surrounding the next two-part program.
