Ghost Files is back with a sophomore season that gives the same vibes and feel that made the show light up and come to the radars of YouTube watchers and paranormal events amateurs left and right. If you’re not familiar with this web series, it is a comedic attempt at ghost hunting in some of the most weird and unusual places that you can find all over the United States.
Hosted by Ryan Bergara and his buddy Shane Madej, the show likes to make use of dark undertones and tropes that give it a macabre vibe, much like in the fashion of that famous Buzzfeed Segment “Unsolved”.
Ghost Files Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
Ghost Files sophomore season kicks off with their same knack for studying paranormal events, which piques the interests of those in those sorts of things. Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara ventured into the death row of a Missouri state prison to check out if there were any spirits, ghosts, ghouls, or any other kind of phantasm, specter, or whatever you may call it haunting the place.
The jail, situated in the heart of Jefferson City, Missouri, exudes an eerie aura as it unfolds under the cover of the night. The scene appears almost staged, with the disheveled state of the premises further enhancing the ambiance of darkness, enticing the curious souls who seek the thrill of ghost-hunting. As the night deepens, the chilling backdrop serves as a gateway to uncover the haunting tales and deep-rooted issues that plagued this historic jailhouse for years.
They describe the story of the prison, lay out the plans, and start moving with audio and video recorders across the many buildings that make up the former prison. And begin recording their journey, get scared a couple of times by some sounds they consider supernatural, and they explain what they find and hear in the cameras they placed across the many buildings and parts of the jail, including Death Row Alley, which is supposedly haunted by the inmates that were executed in that correctional facility.
