Jodie Whittaker used to work in the series, ‘Doctor Who,’ and people are waiting for her upcoming Australian television series, One Night, produced by Motive Pictures and Easy Tiger Productions for Paramount+.
Emily Ballou will show her multitasking skills by contributing to the screenplay, executive production, and creation. Directed by Lisa Matthews and Catharine Miller, the series will focus on the three female friends dealing with the consequences of what took place on a night twenty years ago.
Mikaela Binns-Rorke and Jodie Whittaker will appear as the younger and the older Tess. Bridgette Armstrong and Nicole da Silva will appear as the younger and the older Simone. The younger and the older Hat will be played by Bella Ridgway and Yael Stone, respectively.
It is one of the fresh Australian dramas that promises to engage the audience through its intertwining storyline and skillful actors. The beautifully-observed character writing must have attracted those actors for ‘One Night.’

One Night Plot
The filming occurred in Illawarra, New South Wales, and Sydney, Australia. A mysterious incident took place twenty years ago, which will be revealed as the series progresses. After that, Simone started writing to become a novelist, pushing her attempts into the bottom drawer.
It took Simone twenty years to write and publish a story she could never forget, the incident that took place with her and her two childhood best friends, Tess and Hat, on one night twenty years ago. However, now she is forty, and her first manuscript has become an overnight success. Meanwhile, Tess and Hat are confused over her success.
The three friends get traumatized by remembering the incident written in the manuscript. According to the executive producer, Sophia Mogford, it is a timely yet timeless story beautifully presented by local and international actors.
This special project, made with the abovementioned production companies, has been set along the majestic beauty of the New South Wales coastline. According to the producers, it is a character-driven story addressing friendship, storytelling, trauma, and memories.
Paramount+ Australia alerted the viewers through a tweet, which read ‘Secrets Always Surface,’ on 06 August 2023. The three main characters grew up in a small coastal community and tried hard to overcome their traumas.
According to Grainne Brunsdon, who works as the head of content for Screen Australia, Easy Tiger is well known for presenting fresh content that gets noted by local and international audiences.
