Stay By My Side Episode 7 Recap
The episode begins with Bu Xia sitting in his room waiting for Jiang Chi. He texts Jiang Chi to clear out their misunderstanding telling that he did not mean it that way. He wants Jiang Chi to know that he did not use him for the basketball team.
Jiang Chi is outside the dorm but ignores his texts. After a while, he returns and finds Bu Xia sleeping on the couch. He covers him with a blanket. The next day, the ghosts start murmuring again to disturb Bu Xia. While one questions if Bu Xia broke up with Jiang Chi, the other remarks if they were ever together.
The ghosts also tell him that Jiang Chi had spent the night with him, touching and comforting him so the voices could not haunt him. Not as he is gone, they will bother him. Soon, Bu Xia’s sister visits him with some good food, but he refuses to eat it.
When she questions about the dark circles being due to the ghosts chattering, he agrees. She asks him about the heater, “Jiang Chi,” and Bu Xia tells him that Jiang Chi confessed his feelings. His sister is happy, but Bu Xia is confused because both of them are men.
His sister assures him that until he is looked after, it does not matter who he is. She suggests him to approach Jiang Chi. Without waiting time, Bu Xia starts keeping food with heartfelt notes on Jiang Chi’s bike. During their basketball practice, he tries to talk to Jiang Chi, but he ignores him and leaves.
Bu Xia’s friends convince him to pursue Jiang Chi. He rushes to stop Jiang Chi midway and asks him if he will still like him if he is keeping secrets and is despicable. Jiang Chi says he is clear about his feelings, and Bu Xia kisses him to confess his love without words.
Finally, the two hearts unite. When they are studying together, Bu Xia struggles but tries hard for his partner, and Jiang Chi refuses his law internship to stay with Bu Xia. When Bu Xia is watching a movie alone, he feels guilty about hiding the truth from his lover and thinks of a scenario of how Jiang Chi will react when he finds out.
He is startled to find Jiang Chi standing in front of him, who has a surprise. He gives him a bowl of noodles to celebrate his birthday. Then he blindfolds Bu Xia to show him a surprise.

Out of frustration, he pushes Jiang Chi away, saying he never told him to be by his side every day, so Jiang Chi leaves him on his own. Bu Xia questions his choices.
