It plays as the Monday-Tuesday tv series by ENA after the end of Lies Hidden In My Garden. The K-drama Not Others is a drama adaptation of the webtoon Namnam by Jung Young Rong.
Not Others features Choi Sooyoung (Girls’ Generation), Jeon Hye Jin, Ahn Jae Wook, and Park Sung Hoon playing the main characters. Not Others revolves around the single mother, Kim Eun Mi, and her daughter, Kim Jin Hee. Eun Mi was a high schooler when she became pregnant. Her life changed as she decided to raise her baby herself. Eun Mi and Jin Hee grew up together.
Now, Eun Mi is in her forties and working as a physiotherapist. Jin Hee is twenty-nine years old and working as a police officer. Jin Hee and Eun Mi had conflicts despite their great bonding. Their lovely family life takes a turn when Park Jin Hong returns to Eun Mi’s life.
Not Others Episode 8 Recap
A strange man attacked Kim Eun Mi in the alley. Luckily, she was safe, and the police arrested the man. Kim Jin Hee saw the man and was about to hit him. Jae Won controls Jin Hee from taking any action. She was angry at Jin Hong for not protecting her mother.
Jin Hee took care of her mother’s wounds but in an uncaring way. Eun Mi urges her daughter to stay home, but she ignores her. Jin Hong tries to talk, but Jin Hee ignores him. Jae Won came cycling and spotted Jin Hee. He asks about her mother’s condition.
Eun Mi has come to work despite her condition. Dr. Park thinks Eun Mi has feeling for him and advises her to stop it. At the police station, everyone is planning a team dinner as the case is closed. Jin Hee’s superior yelled at her for the video. He notifies her about the reunion at the headquarters.
Jin Hee had to come to the HQ reunion. They discussed Eun Jae Won’s past and his bad reputation among the seniors. Jin Hee is ignoring her mother’s calls and messages. She came to the karaoke bar to join her teammates.
Eun Mi took Jin Hong to introduce him to Mi Jung as her boyfriend and get her approval. Mi Jung yells at Jin Hong for leaving pregnant Eun Mi. He may leave her again. Jin Hong clarifies that he cut all links with his parents a decade ago. Jin Hee comes to Jae Won’s house in a drunk state. She stays for the night at his house.
During police patrolling, Jin Hee saw students bullying a pregnant high school. The girl was Ga Eul. Jin Hee told her to meet with her if she needed anything. Eun Mi goes to Jin Hong’s house and doubts if he is married. Jin Hee brings Ga Eul home as she has nowhere to go.
Eun Mi saw her with cravings and understood she was pregnant. They discuss how difficult it is to be a single mother, give birth and care for the baby. Jin Hee heard Ga Eul crying in the room. Eun Mi and Jin Hee started talking again.
Jin Hee gets the news that the culprit changed his testimony about the murder. There is a link between the real culprit and her mother. Jin Hong reached his apartment and saw Eun Min and his sister fighting.
Not Others Episode 9: Preview
In the upcoming episode of Not Others, Eun Mi and Jin Hong’s sister end in a heated argument. She blames Eun Mi for seducing Jin Hong and destroying the family. Caption Cha’s condition is severe. Jin Hee and Jae Won must find the evidence to prove Captain Cha’s innocence.
