Yofukashi no Uta Chapter 182 will see Kou taking his time out and spending some time with Anko. The two have an odd chemistry, one wanting to become a vampire and the other wanting to separate the monsters from humans. Anko fell into the latter and tried to help Kou in the beginning and be free from the influence of vampires.
Anko had quite a history with vampires, as one of them led to the end of her family and led her to become a private detective. She doesn’t detest this path, but in a way, she wants to protect the innocents. Normal people have no idea what they are getting in when they want to become vampires and what losing humanity is.
We are shown through the events of the story that there are two aspects to being a vampire. The passive ones live life peacefully and get followers as time goes on while keeping a supply of people. And then some don’t want to drink blood for survival and fall into the despair of hunger.

Yofukashi no Uta Chapter 181 continued with Anko and Nazuna resuming their discussion over the vampire trying to get her hands on blood. Nazuna had started asking around for alternate sources of blood and has had some success in the matter. But the thing is, she had been hungry for Kou’s blood ever since the very beginning of the series.
However, that was that; she didn’t think much of him when the series started but fell for him as time went on. A similar happened with Kou as he wanted to fall in love with Nazuna once he got to know how to become a vampire. But, he couldn’t separate his mind from his cause, thus making it hard for him to become one.
And just like at the very beginning of the series, he still doesn’t know what it is to love someone. Being an Insomniac only made things difficult for him to understand the concept as his lack of sleep shifted his perception. But we might finally be heading in the direction where he could finally answer that question.

Yofukashi no Uta Chapter 182 will see what Kou has to talk about to Anko as he invites her on a date. The reason he met up with her is because he had picked up that something was going on between her and Nazuma. Though, he doesn’t know that Anko will try to get cut with him, which he might have picked up given how perceptive he is.
Moreover, the moment he met up with Anko, she was mused about Kou’s nature. So the next chapter will also focus on the question that Anko had about Kou. But Kou showing up to her at that moment foreshadowed what kind of person he would be, whether a human or monster. In the confines of this story, the question is a bit warped, given how the events have taken place. But how this series tackles that question will be interesting to see.
