During the “Ghosts of Ruin” Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, it was announced that Nathalie Emmanuel, known for her roles in the “Games of Thrones” and “Fast and Furious” franchises, would lend her voice talents to the new series.
Executive producer Michael Ramey humorously mentioned that he was immediately reaching out to the agents during the panel to secure the deal, highlighting the truly “real-time” nature of the news. In an interview after the panel, Michael Ramey and fellow executive producer Katie Stippec revealed that they were anxiously hitting “refresh, refresh, refresh”.

Back in May, Variety reported exclusively that Rosario Dawson and Tony Revolori had been added to the cast of the animated series. The show revolves around a group of gamers participating in the groundbreaking neural reality battle royale game called “Ruin.”
However, their utopian experience takes a dark turn when a malevolent virus infiltrates the game, turning it into a nightmarish ordeal.

Emmanuel has been cast as the voice of Dr. Angela Tucci, a character that showrunner Michael Ryan describes as “monumental and pivotal” in the series. Ryan expressed excitement about having Emmanuel on board, as he has been a big fan of hers and believes she is perfect for the role. Dr. Angela Tucci is in charge of running the neural reality within the show.
The series also features a talented cast, including K-Pop stars AleXa, Karen Strassman, John Bentley, Josh Keaton, Justin Long, Cherise Boothe, Haron Atkins, Michael Longfellow, and JB Blanc.

The announcement of Emmanuel’s addition to the cast was made during the Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, making it a memorable moment for creator and executive producer P.J. Accetterro. He expressed admiration for the entire cast and their ability to elevate their characters to the next level.
The panel was moderated by Coy Jandreau and featured members of Hans Zimmer’s Bleeding Fingers Music, Giovoni Rios, Hendrick Beunk, and Russell Emanuel. The interactive nature of the project allowed attendees to vote on the dialogue for Dawson’s Prism character in an upcoming episode.
“Ghost of Ruin” is set to premiere this fall on the Gala Film website, with plans to explore potential streaming service partnership for a wider release.
