The chapter starts with Freya spying at Beldemer’s house. Freya followed Renea, hoping she’d lead her to the wish-granting statute or at least something related to it. However, Freya finds that Renea has gone to her lover’s house, but it is still an intriguing turn of events. She thought Reane only had eyes for Edwin, but she found she had another man.

Edwin came to Beldemer’s house as he saw Renea entering there. Edwin tells them that Reane is her wife. He introduces himself as Edwin Lepore. Beldemer seems familiar with the name, so Edwin asks Beldemer if had heard of him. Beldemer tells him he knows Edwin works with Renea at the guild. Edwin tells him there is no such person in the guild.

Furthermore, he tells him his wife, the owner of the guild owner, would be working there. Beldemer gets stuns when he hears all that. The maid at Beldemer’s house notices that both Beldemer’s and Edwin’s cloth are similar. Edwin tells her that his wife buys his clothes. Beldemer asks him how long he has been married to her.
