So, My Happy Marriage, Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon, if you prefer, is an anime adaptation of the light novel by one of the popular artists from Japan, Akumi Agitogi, that is with the illustration under Tsukiho Tsukioka. Unlike many other popular titles, this light novel first started as the user-generated novel publishing site known as Shōsetsuka ni Narō, but because of its uniqueness, it got later acquired by Fujimi Shobo.
Later, in the year 2019, this light novel got its first adaptation in the form of a manga with the same name, which is still being published under Square Enix’s name. However, Rito Kohsake is the illustrator of the manga.
What My Happy Marriage Episode 1 Will Be About?
So the story of the My Happy Marriage is set in the Meiji Restoration Era, early in the nineteenth century. In this era, a young girl named Miyo Saimiri was borns without any kind of supernatural talent, and that is why her stepmother forces her towards servitude.
Later in the story, we see that the only that Miyo Saimiri has for a better life is to get married and live a happy life. However, her hopes get shattered when she finds out who her fiance is going to be. This was a guy named Kiyoka Kudou, who was a cruel and cold-hearted commander of the army. Not only that, the brides would be of this guy gets fled away not more than three days after their engagements.
After all these events, we see that Miyo Saimiri surrenders herself to her fate and accepts the proposal. Later, she soon finds out that her handsome and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the guy that he heard about.
That is why they later started getting close to each other and opened their heart, which turned out to be the ray of hope in the life of Miyo Saimiri to live a happy and peaceful life.
The Cast of My Happy Marriage
In addition to Miyo Saimori, who is the eldest daughter of the family, has many supernatural powers, but she lacks them; because of this, her father and stepmother deem her useless, and Kiyoka Kudo, who is Miyo’s fiance, we also have Kaya Saimori, Koji Tatsuishi, Yurie, and many more.
In the upcoming anime series, Miyo Saimori is voiced by Reina Ueda, Kiyoka Kudo is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, Ayane Sakura is the official Japanese voice of Kaya Saimori, and Koji Tatsuishi is voiced by Koutaro Nishiyama.
