In the story of Dao Mao, a samurai warrior living in medieval times, we explore themes of loyalty, gratitude, and sacrifice. After being rescued by a kind king who offered him shelter and helped raise his child, Dao Mao sets out on a path to repay the debt owed to his benefactor. The first official mission he is offered by the government seems like the perfect opportunity to do so.
Taking on the mission requires Dao Mao to journey to the capital, where he uncovers a sinister plot and comes face to face with Rakshasa, a band of man-eating demons. His encounter with them rocks his world and forces him to confront the darkness that lurks within it.
Dao Mao is a skilled fighter, but the demons he now faces are unlike anything he has encountered before. He embarks on a mission to rid the world of them, but as he travels deeper into this violent world, he finds himself struggling to maintain his humanity.
Blades of the Guardians is a gripping tale of a warrior’s quest for redemption, bravery, and loyalty to his family and dynasty, played out on the backdrop of a world being overrun by monsters.
