Komi Can’t Communicate Chapter 405 Recap

The chapter starts with the summer festival. Dmitri Fukusuki had come to the festival with his bodyguard, Kishi. Kishi was an elite bodyguard, but she was not very friendly. Dmitri gave her a small animal glass figurine he bought at the festival. He thought she would not like it, so he told her she could throw it if she did want it. However, Kishi found that the figurine was cute.

Later we see Shukio and Minako together at the festival. Minako had eaten a lot of yakisobas, so she was having problems walking. So Shukio carried her on his back. Then we see Toutoi and Shiina. Toutoi prayed during the festival, so Shiina felt a little left out. Toutoi asked if she was having fun, to which she replied not really. He told her they should eat something, but she ignored him.

So Toutoi told her they should break up. Shouko got angry and started beating him. Toutoi apologized to her for what he said. Later we see Shinobino with Ai. Ai and Shinobino know each other from kinder garden. Ai acted like a child sometimes, so that was why Shinobino teased her. He was afraid that their relationship might blow up. Next, we see Sabako and Netsuno together at the festival.

They were trying out lots of food corners at the festival. It was like a mini-date for both of them. Next, we see all the class boys carrying Kawai on a carriage. It felt like Kawai was a princess, and the boys were her slaves. She commanded them the directions they should go. However, that was not actually happening, as it was just Tadaomi’s fantasy. He was Kawai’s cousin.

Then we see Kawai briefing the girl on what show they do at the festival. She told them they should divide into three groups, so it might not cause any trouble. When Kawai got done ordering them, she was looking for Tadano and Komi. So Tadano called out for her, so she could notice where they were.
