Han Dae-Sung Returned From Hell is the story of a young boy, Han Dae-Sung, who randomly fell into hell while walking to school. On the surface, it looked like he just collapsed. But in reality, his soul was dropped into Hell. Being a young boy in an unfamiliar place, he was terrified at first. But as time went by, he figured out a way to survive on his own.
With every demon he killed, he started to get stronger. One day the system revealed itself it Dae-Sung. He had a deep resentment for the Demon King, whom he believed was responsible for his current predicament. Slowly he started chipping away at his empire. Time moves differently down in hell. Before long, he had spent over 80 years down there.
After spending almost a century in hell with nothing but his thirst for revenge fueling him, he came face to face with the Demon King. And soon after, The Demon King’s dead came face to face with the round. After he defeated the demon, he was given the option to return to Earth. He didn’t hesitate while selecting yes. He woke up in a hospital bed, not being able to move.
Even though it’s been 80 Years, it’s only been ten on Earth. His body was in a coma for all that time. Furthermore, when he was in hell, the world changed drastically. And while he was on Earth, Hell changed drastically. On Earth, dungeons started appearing, and monsters poured out. This led to the birth of the awakened, the only people who have a chance against the monsters.
Taking advantage of the absence of the Demon King, The Heavenly Beings invaded hell and took over. They sealed hell in time and space while imprisoning the demons in a pandemonium, an endless void. Hell requests Dae-Sung’s help in saving the demons as he is the Demon King now. Dae-Sung promptly asks them to stop bothering him.
With the system’s help, Dae-Sung was able to restore his body to its former glory. To do so, he had to quite literally defeat his doppelganger in one on one combat. Now that Dae-Sung has a healthy body, his next goal is to care for his mom and sister. And for that, he needs money. That is when his childhood friend Sung Chan-Ho comes in. He helps Dae-Sung get back on his feet and even helps him with getting his Hunter’s license.
