What Is “Eden Lake” About?
Eden Lake revolves around a lady named Jenny and her boyfriend Steve, who love to enjoy themselves together in their leisure time, and this is all they want. So, they decided to go to an isolated lake area, Eden Lake, and hang out there for the weekend. However, Eden Lake is restricted to locals.
However, the couple avoids being near the lake for continuous hours and keeps moving. Though one day, when they were chilling beside the lake, they noticed a group of very noisy and enthusiastic lower-class teenagers. They were very rude too.
When Steve asks them to maintain silence, the reaction is unexpected. They started abusing them and disrespected them to the maximum extent possible. So, this totally spoiled their camping trip. After all this drama, those kids left the place.
Eden Lake Ending
On their journey, Steve and Jenny find Adam, who is busy collecting insects and does not even respond to a word they say to him. He loved his company, I guess. They were literally having trouble there, and what they came for was all shattered.
The food they carried was spoilt by the gang, and even damaged their car. They went to the town to get the car’s tire repaired, and on their way, they noticed the bicycles of the gang parked near a house. It was Jon’s house when Steve peeked inside, and he escaped from the place as he recognized him.
The Gang Took Their Stuff
They thought things would be normal. However, when Steve went in the water, they saw that their bag was missing, which had their phones and car keys. They took their car too. However, it was time that both of them decided to escape from the place. On their way, they saw Brett driving the car.
The Night When Steve Was Captured
It was a long journey on foot. Thus, that night was a never-ending one for the couple. Steve unintentionally injured Brett’s dog, and thus the gang attacked them, and when they were trying to escape with the car, they held Steve hostage. Jenny ran for help.
However, somehow both of them manage to flee but are again captured by the group. Later, they kill Steve and decide to burn them. But Adam and another guy named Cooper were there and tried to help Jenny, and after leaving the place, she reached a house for help.
Brett’s House
Later, she finds that it is Brett’s house, and his parents are hosting a party there. Jenny rushes to the bathroom and locks herself in. Brett calls Jon and tells him that the girl killed his mate, and Jon recognizes that it is Jenny. Jon slammed the bathroom door and locked her again.
Jon was no better man. However, Steve deletes all the evidence from Paige’s phone. Thus, the film ends with Brett standing in front of a mirror wearing Steve’s sunglasses and a grin on his face.
