Ultimate Fighter is a combat sports show that highlights athletes fighting in the ring for a six-figure contract with the Ultimate Fighter Championship, famously known by the abbreviation UFC. Ultimate Fighter Championship is an American MMA production company that holds various championships, events, and reach outs to spread knowledge about the combat sport of MMA.
This show first premiered in 2005 and has been going on since then, with at least two seasons per year. The streaming platforms for this have changed, but the love that fans have for this absolutely hasn’t. There are a lot of iconic matches from MMA that were showcased in this reality show, but the one from the first season still has the title of being the most iconic match to have ever been seen in the history of MMA. If you haven’t guessed yet, it is the season finale match fought between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar.
The pattern followed for The Ultimate Fighter series is that there exist two coaches who train the fighters from different weight and technique categories. But these trains are not only responsible for training the participant athletes but also are to gear themselves up for the final match that the two coaches fight.
For the last season of the combat series, there was a competition between heavyweight and women’s flyweight groups with Amanda Nunes and Julianna Peña. It was a blasting success, and this season of The Ultimate Fight series is building up to be one, too, as the trailer for the series was enough to get everyone hyped.
It would be a sin not to tell you about the cast for this season, so here it is. For this season, there will be participant athletes from the Bantam and Heavy-Lifting categories, and the coaches for the two groups are Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor. There are eight athletes in each category, namely, Rico DiSciullo, Hunter Azure, Brad Katona, Trevor Wells, Timur Valiev, Cody Gibson, Mando Gutierrez and Carlos Vera for the Bantam category, and Jason Knight, Roosevelt Roberts, Aaron McKenzie, Nate Jennerman, Austin Hubbard, Lee Hammond, Kurt Holobaugh, Landon Quinones for the Heavy-Lifting Category.
The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 Episode 1 Release Date
Since the trailer for the season came out a while ago and the coaches were announced, all that MMA Fans wanted to know was when they could catch up on some Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor drama on the screens as they act as coaches for the season. The first episode of the show is set to come out on the 30th of May, 2023, on a Tuesday at 10 pm Eastern Time (ET). For other regions, the time of release goes something like this,
