The Greatest Auction Episode 2 release date is making fans very excited right now. The series throws light on a reality TV show where we witness a variety of items being auctioned off. It includes the dramatization of an auction room and how the prices take a second to escalate. The series is hosted by AJ Odudu, as she caters to millionaires and private collectors along with antique dealers.
These are some of the people who bid for some of the extraordinary items that are created or gathered, or brought in at this auction house. The series has been commissioned by Channel 4 for their network. It is an important series to give representation to the sellers who might have to part with their work, but it will also give them an idea about what their real worth is. There will be an array of unique items that will star in each of the eight episodes that have been confirmed.
Back in The Greatest Auction Episode 1, we saw three items make it up to the stage. The first one was an art piece by an unknown artist. Soon, this artist came forward. They go by the name Silent Bells. The art was inspired by the work of Banksy, and the art was stenciled back in 2013. The art found its way to the show when it was removed from a wall in Liverpool Chapel Street by an unknown person last year.
The Greatest Auction Episode 1 Recap and Details
After the auction debuted on the screen, the creator was not so happy. They talked about how the piece was street art, and that is where it was supposed to be. Silent Bill works for a homeless charity located locally in Liverpool. He has accused all the people who were involved in the auction of being “greedy.” The art was sold to a Banksy dealer named Robert Barton while he was competing with a rival collector from Dubai. Ultimately, the piece sold for 250,000 pounds.
The second item which was televised for the auction was a jar of five pig fetuses. It was very weird to watch and even weirder to spend a whopping 1200 pounds on the same. The jar has been sitting in the dust for over a decade now but finally saw some light during the bidding war. These pigs were well preserved and were brought in by a bookseller named Adam.
His boss had bought this item from Germany from a science guy who had been experimenting on various stuff. The seller said that the jar of fetuses had been reserved in top-notch quality, and it was strangely weird but beautiful to look at. Initially, the pieces were preserved for medical reasons, but now they just imitate art when looked upon.

One of the buyers who were pretty interested in the piece was Henry Scragg. He owns a curiosity shop. He talked about how most people will never recognize the beauty of a jar with pickled pigs. He also said that even if they do like the piece, they might be deemed weird and thus refrain from speaking out. But he seemed to have liked the jar totally.
