Her efforts were recognized even by her cousin Tybalt who was keeping a close eye on her from the shadows and also got her close to Prince Escalus.
It’s a beginning of a story unlike any other. Prince Escalus has shown an interest in Rosaline, and we saw him summon her in the last chapter. After a war of words between the two, Escalus presented a marriage proposal to Rosaline. Rosaline gets shocked, but Escalus has made up his mind and followed what his heart desires the most. Go Away Romeo Chapter 19: Recap
Tybalt made an entrance at the end of previous chapters, and after checking up on Rosaline, he has decided to do something which he was holding off for a long time. Rosaline returns to her home after the competition ends, and as soon as she reaches there, one of her servants comes rushing into her room and announces that a letter with a royal seal has arrived for her.
She takes the letter and goes outside while reading it, where she finds Tybalt and Mino. Rosaline asks Tybalt when he gets back, and Tybalt replies that he only recently, and then he asks Mino to greet his mother. Mino greets Rosaline, and she gets amazed by it.
Tybalt asks Rosaline what the letter is about, and she replies that it has nothing except a request summoning her to a private audience with Prince Escalus. Tybalt congratulates Rosaline saying that she will soon become a celebrity, and she accepts the praise. Tybalt begins to say something else but stops, which makes Rosaline anxious as she thinks about what he wants to tell her, but she decides to focus on the important matter first.
Rosaline arrives at the mansion of Prince Escalus, and she thinks to herself that she never hoped to return to this place so soon as the last time she walked in the hallways of this mansion, she had a heavy heart, but she hopes that things will go differently this time. The attendant takes the lead and shows the way to Rosaline. Some ladies pass by in between, and Rosaline wishes them, but they walk away while ignoring her.
The attendant takes Rosaline outside, which makes her wonder if they are going the right way, but the attendant reassures her that the Prince is currently at his private lake and he will be having the meeting there only. Rosaline couldn’t believe the Prince had a private lake, but she soon found out it was true when they arrived at the lake and found Escalus fishing in the lake. Escalus notices Rosaline and asks her to join him in the lake, saying that the cool water would help her take some heat off, but Rosaline declines the offer as she wishes to stay dry.
Escalus asks her to calm down as he didn’t summon her for a formal meeting, but Rosaline argues that the letter she received sure looked that way. Escalus asks her if she means to say that he was too lazy with the invitation, but she disagrees with him Escalus still believes that he worded the letter poorly. Rosaline strikes back by asking Escalus if he’s trying to say she is not worth his time, which makes him laugh as he exclaims that Rosaline has some fangs.
Rosaline asks Escalus to stop joking around and tell her why he called her. Escalus says that he has taken an interest in her after her performance at the competition finale. Rosaline says that she already knows about it, but what she’s curious about is the deeper reason. Escalus replies that he sees parts of himself in Rosaline and then goes on to perfectly explain how Rosaline lived her life to this day.
