This will be my Power Book II Ghost Season 3 Episode 4 review. Now I told you guys about Cane and Lorenzo as far as Cane starting to feel kind of sad for his pops. Well, in Power Book II Ghost Season 3 Episode 4, we saw exactly why he was going to feel sad. Lorenzo saved his life, and they squashed whatever issues they had.
Cane tells Lorenzo “Look, I’m sorry for treating you like that”. And y’all know Lorenzo; he’s all about family and keeping family together no matter what. So we already know that once Lorenzo’s up and out of here, Cane is going to feel very bad and will really have to step up to the plate as far as being the leader of this family alongside Dru.
I will be talking about the Tajadas, especially how Monet left another traceable clue that can implicate her and Diana in a murder case and how she will conclude that Lorenzo killed Zeke. I will also be talking about Saxe and how Jenny lied to Blanca, Angela’s nephew with the DEA, and Lauren’s rage.
Power Book II Ghost Season 3 Episode 4 Review
My thoughts and impressions on Detective Kevin Whitman, Damn I told you guys—hell, I didn’t have to tell y’all anything, because y’all know what time it is when people like him are entirely too thirsty. When people like him take their jobs seriously, they mean it, and that’s what he was doing. He was willing to do whatever it took to take down Monet. His biggest mistake was putting some trust in your girl, Dirty Diana. And she showed him some master moves in this episode.
I’m thinking, “Man, this dude, he’s crazy as hell”. You would think he would be smart enough not to slip up like this, but apparently he wasn’t. He was not smart enough. And I knew Monet was not going to think twice about taking him out. I mean, he was getting close, and she was not about to risk this dude’s life and his, proving that Monet took out Carrie Milgram.
I mean, this dude was not playing around at all. So Monet had to eliminate the threat, but it puts more pressure on her and her entire family. Diana was pissed off because Monet made it seem like they were just going to set him up and he was going to get in trouble and get locked up for doing what he did.
But no, Monet kicked Whitman out. And Monet pretty much told Diana, “Look, I did what I had to do.” Of course, she just used Diana to get exactly what she wanted. And now Diana is still going to have those feelings about her moms, and it doesn’t seem like the relationship is fixed. It seems like things have probably gotten worse, in my opinion.
Cain And Effie
Now, my thoughts and impressions on your boys, Cain and Effie, Now that we know Cain was pretty much telling Effie that he was making threats or dropping little hints or whatever, he may just tell Tariq about what really happened to Lauren. He understood that Brayden did not get the job done. Because Brayden is too shaky. He, of course, always messes up when it’s time to take somebody out. So he knew Brady wouldn’t do it, and it had to be Emily.
Effie tells him, “Never tell Tariq. When the moment is appropriate, I’ll tell him. However, she advises him at the very end of the episode, “Look, I still require some more time. I will tell him. Please don’t let him know.” Basically, she’s telling Cain that Tariq is a guy who is looking out for her, and she has these feelings for him.
You can tell Cain is really feeling Emily. Now we knew he liked Emily. I mean, we knew he wanted to clap those cheeks, but we’re starting to see more of a connection. Okay, “I really like this chick for real. I want to look out for her, and I want to be there for her.” So it’s going to be very interesting to see how this storyline develops as the season continues to air. And I want to know what’s going to happen with Effie and Cane after Tariq and Effie fall out this season.
Lorenzo’s Fingerprint On Zeke’s Car
Starz said in a post ahead of episode 4 concerning Diana and Whitman’s meeting that fans should drop their theories. So I quickly dropped my theory in the comment that “They will make Whitman believe Diana is giving up the family only for Whitman to fall into their trap”. To no one’s surprise, it did happen.
I also had a feeling Monet would still go into the plan with her emotions and mess it up. Now that I was right about it too, I will be talking about the consequences of her actions to change the initial plans.
One thing we should know about the Power universe is that things that are deemed to be ignored are always ignored for future reasons. If you’ve been watching my article from the beginning of this season, I did say that Lorenzo left prints on Zeke’s car the night he mistakenly shot him for Mecca, and that this could trace back to Lorenzo should the police want to investigate the crime scene for prints, etc.
Now, this partial fingerprint match to that of Lorenzo was definitely obtained from the car Mecca gave Zeke. Now the reason it’s a partial thumbprint is that there were multiple prints on the door handle from Zeke as a result of opening and closing the car. So Lorenzo’s fingerprints were found because he opened Zeke’s car without gloves.
Monet’s Errors In Shooting Whitman
Now that I haven’t said that, let’s focus on Monet’s mistake when framing Whitman. Diana did a good job of making Whitman believe she was helping him get Monet. Only if Whitman had a recorder on him would things get bad for Diana, but for now, Diana did a clean job.
Now if they will have to investigate what a suspended cop is doing at the Tejadas family house and match the story of Diana and Monet to Whitman’s body, this is how big Monet could find herself in trouble.
Now according to Diana and Monet’s story, Whitman broke into the house, attacked Monet, and hit her on the cheek. Now, if a thorough investigation is done and an autopsy is run on Whitman, they will find out that there weren’t any struggles and that he also didn’t punch Monet as claimed. If he did punch Monet like that, it will be evident on his hands that he didn’t punch something with his hand.
Now that we all know what happened, this can possibly start to raise questions, and deeper investigations could be done. Unless no one cares about Whitman since he was on suspension, now we all know Jenny and Blanca will not stand for him after he disobeyed them severally. They warned him to stay off the Tajadas, and he refused, so he probably got what he deserved.
Now, who can possibly stand in for Whitman now that he is dead? Possibly the person who forwarded the report about Lorenzo’s partial fingerprint match Maybe he can bring this information to the table and things will make sense to Jenny and Blanca that Whitman was actually doing a great job. Let me know what you also think about this and how Monet just left some space for a possible investigation.
Lorenzo’s Countdown
Now still on the Tajadas, Monet just found out Lorenzo’s print was at the crime scene. The irony of this whole thing is that she found this out after Cane decided to forgive Lorenzo and keep his secret. I don’t know what Lorenzo will think about Cane if Monet approaches him with the truth. But we all know Cane was honest with Lorenzo after he saved him from that bullet.
In my last article, I stated that Withman gave Monet a big clue about how Zeke died and the circumstances. As Whitman said, he assumes Zeke caught a bullet that was meant for Dante Spears. Now, if Monet is smart enough to remember this statement by Whitman, she can draw the definite conclusion that only Lorenzo will be interested in killing Mecca, and by doing so, he shoots her son in the process.
Then Monet will put 2 and 2 together and remember that Lorenzo came home late that night. She will then realize Cane and his father brought her the Guap guy as Zeke’s killer. To be sure of her theories, she will ask Tariq to look into the gunshot that killed Zeke. Tariq will find her the right answer—the Guap guy she killed had nothing to do with Zeke’s death.
If she matches this report from Tariq to Whitman’s statement about Zeke catching the bullet meant for Dante, this will give Monet the final ticket to conclude that Lorenzo was the one who killed Zeke. And Cane knew about it; that’s how he got Lorenzo into his pocket, and that’s why he was ordering him around. Monet will finally know Lorenzo killed Zeke, thinking he was killing Mecca. She will confront him directly, and this won’t go well with Lorenzo.
Don’t forget, Noma is still looking for Mecca’s killer. Monet might sacrifice Lorenzo for herself as a fair trade so she will not be hunted by Noma. Now let me know your thoughts about this Lorenzo situation as well.
Saxe’s Ajenda With Jenny
So Saxe is on his own agenda here, and I believe that from now on he is going to play both Jenny and Davis to his advantage. There is no way Saxe is going to risk his life for sex that he hardly gets from Jenny. Her actions alone show that she is up to something and that she is hiding something big, and I trust Saxe will uncover her soon.
Now, in the meantime, Saxe needs Davis to trust him, so he is going to get Theo out. Saxe also needs to be sure of Jenny—if she is real with him or not—so he will be tailing her moves to uncover her secret. Jenny played smart by leading him to an old partner, but Saxe knows she is hiding something more than Blanca.
Now, Saxe took a picture of this number from Jenny’s other phone, which she claims is for CI calls. thus giving Saxe the idea that he is not her only CI. So I believe Saxe is going to trace this caller and possibly call the number until he gets to know the person behind the number, which I believe is Lauren. He will investigate and find out where Jenny is hiding Lauren.
Now if I were Saxe, I would simply follow Jenny straight to where she has been hiding Lauren to uncover the truth myself. I also think that if Saxe finds out that Lauren is alive, he will possibly meet up with her. Like in this scene, which I spoke about in my earlier Power Book II Ghost Season 3 Trailer article, I believe Lauren was with Saxe here. I don’t know, but let me know what you also think about this Saxe situation.
If Saxe uncovers Jenny, he will be torn between trusting Davis or Jenny, so at that point, Saxe will not betray Davis as quickly as Jenny expected. Now, what can Davis hold against Saxe to be able to control him? You all remember when Saxe was at Truth in an attempt to kill Ghostenny, so at that point, Saxe will not betray Davis as quickly as Jenny expected.
Now, what can Davis hold against Saxe to be able to control him? You all remember when Saxe was at Truth in an attempt to kill Ghost? Tariq still has evidence on Saxe that he was at truth the night his father was killed. And till now, no one has really been convicted as James St. Patrick’s killer.
If Davis feels threatened by Saxe and needs some evidence or dirt on Saxe, Tariq can greatly help save Davis and control Saxe, as Cane did to Lorenzo. So if Saxe knows that a lying lawyer like Davis has such information about him in an attempt to kill Ghost, he will not come out of it should he make it public and Tariq as a witness. If the narrative goes this way, Davis can have control over Saxe for a while. Let me know what you think about this Davis situation.
Overall Review of Power Book II Ghost Season 3 Episode 4
It’s heating up, y’all. It’s getting really crazy, man. And you can tell that Power Book II Ghost Season 3 Episode 5 is about to be a banger. I cannot wait to see what’s going to go down. It ain’t looking too good for your boy, Lorenzo. Monet finds out about Lorenzo being at the crime scene with Zeke, and now that she understands that he may have taken out Zeke, she realizes that he has lied to her this entire time. But we know his days are numbered. Whether Monet gets him or somebody else, Lorenzo was not making it. And from the looks of it, and y’all know how Episode 5 is, he may be gone in next week’s episode, as we shall see.
