Megami No Cafe Terasu, which gets translated to The Cafe Terrace and its Goddesses, is a Japanese manga written and drawn by Koji Seo. Initially released for the Weekly Shonen Magazine on February 17th, 2021, the manga series now stands as a ten-part series that has also been converted to an anime series by the Japanese Tezuka Productions.
The romantic comedy anime series premiered as a television series on April 8th, 2023, and is presently still running. The anime is a story of a young boy called Hayato Kasukabe, an orphan who moves to Tokyo for school. Sometime later, when Hayato clears his university exams, he gets news of his grandmother’s passing which forces him to move to Miura, Kanagawa, the place where most of the story is set.
His grandmother owned a cafe called Cafe Familia, which was barely functioning. He decides to shut down the cafe, but upon learning the stories of the five women working in the cafe and their relationship with his grandmother, Hayato decides to give the cafe another chance and maybe keep the cafe open.
The main cast of the anime series includes Hayato Kasukube, the orphan boy, along with the five women working part-time at his grandmother’s cafe. The five women are Ouka Makuzawa, a fashion student working part-time at the cafe. Ami Tsuruga is a high school student. Riho Tsukishima, a college student. Shiragiko Ono, Hayato’s friend from childhood, and lastly, Akane Hououji, a musician.

The Cafe Terrace and Its Goddesses: The Plot
The story at first may seem like it will completely revolve around Hayato, but when the boy is asked to come down to his grandmother’s town Miura, he finds himself surrounded by five women who seem to have a special bond with Hayato’s grandmother.
It is then the viewers may realize that the story is less about Hayato and more about all of their combined efforts to save the cafe. Hayato’s grandmother raised him all alone after his parents died, but it is only after his grandmother’s death he realizes that the five part-timers also shared a beautiful familial bond with the cafe owner.
The five part-time working women at the rundown cafe also each had a special bond with her, with all of them basically being like a family to her.
