The popular sitcom That ’70s Show is getting a spinoff – That 90s Show, Netflix has confirmed. Moreover, Netflix’s That ’90s Show will bring back some of the original cast. Netflix has ordered a series featuring Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith in the remake of Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner’s hit That ’70s Show. The fans are super excited to see the crazy duo back. However, another question raising the eyebrows is, will the other cast join the remake? Fox’s flagship sitcom featured Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Topher Grace, Danny Masterson, and Wilmer Valderrama.
Set in the fictional place, Point Place, in Wisconsin, That ’70s Show is a period sitcom that originally aired in 1998. After eight successful seasons, the hilarious Tv series ended on May 18, 2006. The Fox’s sitcom revolved around six teenage friends, who spend most of their time together while exploring Love, life, family, and friendship.
That ’70s Show’s upcoming spinoff – That ’90s Show- does not have a cast yet. But, it will be thrilling to see more original cast members making guest appearances. For now, That ’90s Show cast is limited. But, the plot is made clear by Netflix for the time being. Furthermore, as the name suggests, That ’90s Show will also be a period sitcom.
That ’70s Show Spinoff- Everything We Know About Netflix New Remake.
A day ago, Netflix ordered the spinoff of the hit sitcom, That ’70s Show; That ’90s Show. Since then, fans have been rushing towards their internet to look for the most information available about That 70’s Show cast and plot.
As for the cast, Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp are confirmed to join the upcoming Netflix remake of That 90s Show. They will be reprising their roles – Red Forman and Kitty Forman. The onscreen couple played parents to Eric Forman (Topher Grace) in the original series. However, their job is changing in the upcoming Netflix remake. Red and Kitty are playing grandparents in That ’90s Show -the Netflix series.
Moreover, both Smitha and Rupp are executively producing the remake. Joining them are Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, their daughter Lindsay Turner, Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner. Meanwhile, Carsey-Werner Company is producing it, with Gregg Mettler serving as the showrunner.
This is not the first reincarnation of That ’70 Show, though. Considering the popularity of the sitcom, there already have been two spin-offs of the show. Earlier, Fox enlarged the franchise with That ’80s Show, which sadly could not mimic the success earned by the original. Therefore, it ended soon. Also, it was based in San Fransisco, unlike That ’70s Show which takes place in Wisconsin. Thankfully, Netflix is bringing back the franchise to Point Place, Wisconsin, with That ’70s show.
The remake is based in Wisconsin, bringing back some original cast and characters, unlike the other spin-offs. Hence, we hope to see the other original cast reprise their roles, even for an episode. That ’70s Show cast included Topher Grace as Eric, Laura Prepon as Donna, Danny Masterson as Hyde, Wilmer Valderrama as Fez, Mila Kunis as Jackie, and Ashton Kutcher as Michael.

Netflix’s That 90s Show Cast
As we mentioned above, Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp are returning to being Red and Kitty. However, with That ’90s Show, they are upgrading their positions from Parents to Grandparents. Netflix’s That ’90s Show will feature Leia Forman – daughter of Eric and Donna and the granddaughter of Red and Kitty. Set in the 90s, Leia will visit her grandparents to soak in the summer of Point Place while bonding with the locals living there. Just like That ’70s Show, Red and Kitty will make sure to make the situations awkward for Leia while making the audience laugh.
That ’90s Show cast is not put in light for the audience. We and the fans are excited to see Eric and Donna’s daughter, of course. Moreover, we can expect to see Micahel and Brooke’s daughter, Betsy Kelso, bonding with Leia.
