The Plot of Solo Leveling
In a world where gates are a link to a realm beyond imagination, supernatural powers awaken within certain humans called Hunters. The hunters, warriors who delve into dungeons, make their livelihood by conquering these pathways and everything along the way.
But amidst a league of mighty hunters, Jinwoo Sung, the so-called weakest of them all, stands out. Exploring into a dangerous low-rank dungeon, he encounters a double dungeon and gets fatally wounded, and at that moment, a mysterious quest window appears before him. “On the verge of death, Jinwoo decides to accept the quest and starts leveling up, while the others aren’t.” The stage is set, and Solo Leveling begins.
If you’re in the mood for a “zero to hero” tale that will leave you breathless, look no further. While the story doesn’t stray too far from the tried-and-true formula, it still manages to deliver fresh elements that keep you hooked.
The protagonist, Jinwoo, walks the line of being a cool and overpowered light novel hero, but his leveling-up process is somewhat like an RPG, and that makes the manhwa a whole lot better. Now, let’s talk about art because it’s almost perfect. Solo Leveling easily earns its spot in the top 10 when it comes to artwork. The fact that it’s in full color adds an extra layer to the mix, making many stay only for the art.
Solo Leveling’s first arc manages to be genuinely creepy and intriguing and sets the stage for what the novel brings to us next; “I can confidently say it’s one of the best intro arcs I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading,” said a reviewer. Don’t forget to come back for more updates!
