Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 is absolutely insane as it continues the amazing events from the last chapter of the series. Who would have thought that Sukuna’s plan was to take over Megumi and use his powers? Well, must have guessed that he might be planning to take Megumi as a vessel but they turned out to be very fast and at an unexpected time.
Well, that is until you read the latest chapter of the series and realize that Sukuna was watching over this and for this moment to gain Megumi’s body. Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 not only does elaborate on Sukuna taking over Megumi and spreading chaos but we also see the opposite of the fallen, the angel in action as well.
While we thought that there could not be a better chapter following the events in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 212, the latest yet to be released as of this writing gets better and better. With amazing double spreads and Sukuna using Megumi’s power, it seems Gege sensei has been waiting for this moment more than us.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 Full Summary And Raw Scans
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 is titled “Cursed Womb: Under Heaven, Part 5” and the chapter begins with none other than the infamous Sukuna with his monologue. This monologue not only reveals the plan for Sukuna’s plan for Megumi but also why he killed Yuji when he did it in front of Megumi.
It was to form a binding vow with Yuji so that he could take over Yujji at the exact moment he wanted to take over none other than Megumi. Sukuna’s monologue begins by saying that the day when he confronted Megumi as Yuji for the first time, he sensed something amazing from him which was his cured techniques and his abilities to surpass even him.
If he wanted, Sukuna would have forced Megumi to eat his fingers on that very day however, he did not want to take risks of being caged inside Megumi as he was caged inside Yuji. Thus, he waited until he could get more powers and waited for the perfect moment for Megumi’s soul to be shattered.
Sukuna is highly referring to Megumi seeing his sister as an incarnated sorcerer which broke his heart and soul and explains why de did those things when he did. Then the issue picks up where it left off in the last one with Yuji being surprised to see what he is witnessing.
Before he could even ask something, Megumi as Sukuna comes in with a charge and punches Yuji. The punch makes the latter puke blood before he is sent flying across and through the buildings in an amazing double spread. Yuji ends up landing on the rooftop of another building with debris beside him.
Sukuna Using Megumi’s Power
The impact of Sukuna punching Yuji has been heard around the colony and in particular we fans learn that Takaba and Maki are made aware of the situation. It seems like Sukuna is aware of the culling players are aware of him and they are reaching him. Sukuna is forming signs indicating that he is using Megumi’s ten shadows techniques as he says that there will be insects coming out and it does not matter what era it is.
Then in a double-spread again we see that Sukuna has summoned Nue and it is a Nne unlike we have ever seen before. This Nue is a very gigantic muck like the one we saw Kenjaku summoning a curse during the time he convinced the U.S. military to attack the sorcerers.
The Fallen Vs The Angel
We see another double-spread with Takaba and Maki’s reaction to Sukuna summoning Nue. But there is something else in the air coming as lighting comes striking down which surprises Sukuna as well and it is Hana with the Angel. Even though Sukuna had earlier knocked out the Angel when he was in Yuji’s body, he realizes that Hana and the Angel coexist and thus she can recover very fast.
Given that Hana likes Megumi very much, she is worried about Megumi and hesitates to attack Sukuna saying that Megumi is still somewhere. However, Angel insists that it is fallen and it’s too late now. They must attack Sukuna and Megumi now if they want to stop Sukuna before he is plunging his root deeper and gets more powerful. The only conclusion that should come out of this battle is to tear Sukun apart and extinguish him.
Thus, as Hana cries to get Megumi back, Angel attacks with her cursed technique “Jacob’s Ladder” which is seen in yet another fourth double-spread where fans see the skies filled with a symbol and then a huge chunk of light energy strikes Sukuna down as Hana sobs and asking to get Megumi back.
Jacob’s Ladder Explanation
Side note; the techniques Jacob’s Ladder is referring to genesis 28:10-19 which narrates the story of Jacob dreaming of the angels descending from the heavens and the ladder appearing to take the souls from to heaven. Should we make it less complicated for you?
You must have watched Tom and Jerry and must have seen Jacob’s ladder reference when Tom or Jerry dies from a comedic death and are ascending to heaven. Whereas, Jacob’s ladder could mean something as simple as Optical Phenomenon made by the sunlight when there are dust particles or haze in the sky. If looked properly one could find them right now by looking at the sky. Well, let’s get back to the chapter.
Sukuna Manipulates Hana
The last two pages of the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 is showing us the menace of Sukuna and tell us that this demon is manipulative as well. As Hana is crying and asking for Megumi to be brought back, Sukuna starts acting like Megumi to stop the Angel.
He tells Hana by calling her name that he remembers now showing that he is in control and everything is all right thanks to her. However, the Angel realizes that Sukuna is still inc control and he is manipulating her with Megumi’s voice.
The Angel tries to tell Hana but the latter is crying thinking that Megumi is back and falls to his arms repeatedly saying his name. But, Sukuna is not disappeared and he is in full control which is shown in the last panel as he is ready to kill Hana when she is hugging him thinking he is Megumi.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214 Expectations
After an insane chapter, every fan is wondering what is going to happen next in the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214 which is the next installment after this one. However, unfortunately, fans will have to wait for until the end of this month as after the release of the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213, it will be going on a break.
Meaning that Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214 will be featured in the 13th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump 2023 Magazine released on Monday, February 27th, 2023 at midnight Japanese Standard Time.
While there is going to be a break before the release of the said chapter, it is good for the fans to get their theories out for the future development of the series considering the amazing twist in the recent chapters. Now that Sukuna has even got the only person who could get Gojo out of the seal, who is going to stop Sukuna?
Sure there are so many characters present in the colony such as Maki and Takaba who seem capable of fighting toe-toe with Sukuna. However, with Megumi’s ten shadow techniques it will be difficult for the said characters to stop him once he summons them and especially Mahagora.
