Bloodhounds Synopsis
Kim Gun Woo, our protagonist, had been boxing for nearly his whole life. Being a professional boxer was his only aim in life, and he dedicated most of his years to learning and mastering the sport. However, he did not exactly have a cushy lifestyle that could afford his expensive dreams. Gun Woo did not come from a crazy rich family. Instead, his mother had actually lent a loan from a loan shark named Kim Myeong Gil.
Myeong Gil was known to be a dangerous loan shark in the money lending business. Not only was he known for his notorious behavior, but he was also considered to be one of the most powerful moneylenders there. Myeong Gil did not spare his customers and made sure he got every penny back from those who took a loan from him and started getting impatient with Gun Woo’s family.
Gun Woo, who had hopes of continuing his career in boxing, had no other choice but to let go of those dreams and support his mother in paying off the debt. He quit his boxing and decided to instead work for President Choi in the money-lending business to pay off all the debt that his mother owed him.
President Choi had been an infamous name in the money-lending business in the past. He had disappeared for a few years before he made his comeback and began lending people money with no interest. Gun Woo begins his partnership with President Choi and meets Kim Hyeon Ju and Hong Wu Jin along the way, who play an important role in his life as a friend and a foe.
Will There Be Bloodhounds Season 2?
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Bloodhounds Season 2, and as of yet, there has been no actual confirmation of the release of its second Season. The K-drama, which is known for its action-packed plot and thrilling experience, released all eight episodes of its Show in one day. Being a binge-worthy drama one can finish in a day or two, the drama had a rather satisfying ending.
The producers of the K-drama have not yet announced any news regarding the beginning of a second season, as the first Season of Bloodhounds ended with a happy ending. In the last episode of Bloodhounds, Gun Woo is able to return back the previous lifestyle and reunite with his mother, suggesting a happy ending. This completion suggests that there may not be a Season 2 as the Show did not end on a cliffhanger.
Another reason for there being no announcement regarding Bloodhounds Season 2 is that Woo Do Hwan, the actor playing Gun Woo, had just been discharged from the army on January 5, 2022, after he had completed his two years tenure. If there was any shooting going on, then the drama would be released in 2024 or 2025, yet there has been no such news as of now.
