What Happened In “To Your Eternity Season 2 Episode 1”?
After Pyoran’s passing and his conflicts with Nokkers, Fushi decides to withdraw and begins living on an island. He stayed there for forty years. When the Nokkers start making noise one day, Fushi learns through Kansatsusha that they are attacking people. Kansatsusha tells Fushi that it would take him 30 days to get there, even though he is eager to assist them immediately.
He gets a surprise hug from a young girl who introduces himself as Hisame. He is left speechless by her assertion that she is Hayase’s reincarnation. As it turns out, Hisame’s grandmother, Hayase, passed away before she did. She had informed Hisame’s mother that she would give birth to a new body in her womb. Along with a few other individuals she refers to as “guardians,” Hisame asserts that they are present to safeguard Fushi.
Her party merely follows Fushi as he moves toward the settlement. But while he is dozing off one night, Hisame approaches and shows that she is holding a Nokker in her palm that she can command. She apologizes for him trying to attack her. Fushi attempts to remain composed by telling her to go back to sleep. Following Hisame’s return to sleep, Kansatsusha, aware of his current emotional state, keeps a close eye on Fushi.
Fushi had been trying to find serenity for all these years, and Hisame claims to be Hayase’s reincarnation; he cannot comprehend the current circumstance. When Fushi argues that he does not wish to hate a 15-year-old unnecessarily, Kansatsusha listens quietly. He continues by stating that to animate an animal, one requires flesh as a vessel and fye.
A living creature’s spirit, or soul, is all it is. It can also be addressed as the mysterious force that propels a vessel. The fye must be transferred from one vessel to another for reincarnation. The vessel is finally broken, allowing fye to leave wherever it pleases when the sensation emanating from a living being ceases or when a living thing reaches the natural end of its life.
In the case of Hisame, Kansatsusha contends that it is likely that Hayase’s “fye” finally used Hisame as a vessel because of how powerful her desire was at the time of her death. Given that Hisame admitted that her grandmother had told her daughter that she would be reborn in her pregnancy, it makes perfect sense. The memories of Kansatsusha’s life were erased when Hayase’s fate was handed on to Hisame.
In this respect, Hisame is not merely a vehicle for her grandmother but also a distinct persona. Despite his best efforts not to hate a little girl who has done nothing wrong, Fushi realizes that he can’t stand her, despite his happiness that she can’t be held accountable for the deaths of his companions.
The next day, Fushi, Hisame, and the Guardians continue their trek toward the village that the Nokkers attacked. After traveling for almost a month, they arrive and are greeted by two physicians who inform them that six villagers were killed in the tragedy. Fortunately, most people have already left, and things are now under control.
