Korea faced the lowest number of Weddings last year, and in 2023, people are still not interested in getting married. People are declining to marry due to the large sum of money.
The show has chosen ten different unmarried couples among the public. They will participate in fighting to prove their love to win the reward of 290,000 dollars.
290 Million KRW: Marriage War is a newly launched reality survival show by TvN on July 2nd, 2023. The writer of the popular and intense survival show Physical:100 is behind the creation of this new show. The show is about couples who dream of getting married, but money is the obstacle.
The ten participants will engage in a war to win a grand prize for their wedding through this survival program. The contest is going to be extreme throughout the missions.

290 Million KRW: Marriage War: Recap
Ten couples are going to participate in the 290 Million KRW Marriage War. They are Sung Chi Hyun and Kim Hae Ri, Choi Kwang Won and Shin Hye Sun, Kim Ji Hyuk and Kim Ji Eon, Park A Ryeon and Bae Min Ki, Hong Han Seok, and Mariam, Kim Tae Seok and Baek Ji Yoon, Lee Sang Min and Oh Su Hyeon, Hong Jun Young and Park Na Young, Kim Jin Woo and Lee Seung Yeon, Yoo Hyeon Cheol and Kim Seul Gi.
All couples were in Tuxedoes and beautiful wedding gowns. They were curious to know others and their personal lives. Each couple introduced themselves to others. They shared their story of how they met each other.
The show is going to be a Wedding War. The first mission of Wedding War was named Here Come The Bride and Groom. They moved to a location for the first mission.
The mission location was mudflat. Participants must cross 500 meters of mudflats dressed in tuxedos and wedding gowns. Brides will hold the flower bouquet along with them during the mission. The couple will place the given bouquet in the vase on the finishing line.
The twist is there are only seven vases. The three failed couples will be out of the show. The first-place winner will have the benefit of surviving in future missions.
It was not an easy task to tackle with the uneven land. The couple starts running together in the mud. The muddy gown became heavier and more exhausting. The six couples made it to the end. Meanwhile, two grooms began to compete for seventh place.
The mission becomes chaotic. The mission was over, and couples came to the quarters. It was a Wedding Camp with bedrooms and communal space guarded by CCTV. The couples will spend the next ten days at the Camp.
The seven couples decided on their bedrooms and came to collect the supplies. They were couples’ wedding photos with uniforms and a cheque for 290,000 dollars to motivate them. They decorated their rooms and changed into their matching uniforms. The couples were spending quality time clicking photos and being happy.
There was an announcement that there were eight rooms and seven couples. The three eliminated couples got a chance. They will play a death match to occupy the eighth bedroom. It will be a Love-lie detector game. It will open some unsaid truths and expose hidden lies between the couples.
