Sumire helps them locate the enemy that attacks them and dive deep inside the sand. Larry thinks that they can pinpoint the next location and blast that beast. Sumire is inside the control room, giving orders to the soldiers. Kobato received orders to shoot on the target when it showed up. They learned about the enemy’s weak points.
The enemy appears at 55 degrees, and they both shoot at that side. The crew was surprised since Kai missed finishing the target. He hits the rods nearby, and Sumire can’t believe that he missed at close range. Kai notices that the team is afraid to ruin his day, and they talk about something else. But he apologizes for missing the target. Vera noticed something about Kai. The team heads back to the HQ with nothing on their hand. Kai knows that Sumire won’t spare him since she hates to lose.

Commander Vera arrives, but she seems angry about something and passes the two without talking with them. Kai tried to greet her, but she just looked at him. Kai wonders if he messes up, which makes her angry that much. In the evening, Kai started alone, but one of the boys joined him, and they talked about Commander Vera.
