Alba Baptista a name you might have been seeing pop everywhere nowadays, be it due to her amazing performance as Ava on Netflix’s Warrior Nun or due to heating dating rumors with Captain America, Chris Evans. But even if you aren’t aware, don’t fret because she is making it clear that she is definitely the next IT girl of Hollywood and is here to stay.

From playing a Dior model to doing her action sequences in Warrior nun, she can do it all, and these are just a few of many more to come. Alba Baptista is Luso-Brazilian. Her Portuguese mother, Elsa Baptista, while visiting Rio de Janeiro for her job as a translator, met her Brazilian father, Luiz Baptista. Born in 1997, the 25-year-old actress grew up in Portugal’s capital city of Lisbon.

She speaks a staggering five languages, including Portuguese, English, German, French, and Spanish, proving that she certainly inherited her mother’s translator genes. Baptista made her acting debut at the age of barely 15 with Amanhã é um Novo Dia, a 10-minute-long short film released on YouTube, but later in 2014, her proper debut is considered to be “Miami,” a short film by Simo Cayatte.

She received her first significant honor for the movie, Best Actress at the Festival Ibérico de Ciné for her instantly popular portrayal. Her acting career has since taken off tremendously. She played significant roles in films like “Patrick,” “The Child,” and “Magnetick Pathways.” Baptista recently had her English-language debut in the Netflix series “Warrior Nun,” and she also had breakthrough parts in the films “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” and “Warrior Nun.”

Director of Dior Claudine, on the other hand, finds Ada’s entry into the exclusive world of haute couture offensive.

Because Ada will pay in cash, Dior, which is struggling financially, grudgingly agrees to sew her a dress. She stays with André while he’s in Paris for fittings and prods him to confess his feelings for Natasha, who shares his fascination with existential philosophy.

Due to Ada’s strike, Claudine and Christian Dior are obliged to hear André’s suggestions for modernizing and profiting the company when Claudine is forced to fire several Dior employees due to financial constraints.

Ada brings her gown back to London. She lends it to Pamela, a failing actress who is one of her clients, who wears it to a gathering. It is destroyed when it catches fire. 20. Warrior Nun (2020-)

In Warrior Nun, a 19-year-old lady awakens in a morgue with a fresh outlook on life and a divine treasure buried deep into her back. She learns that she has joined the Order of the Cruciform Sword, an ancient group tasked with battling demons on Earth and that both mighty powers from heaven and hell are out to get her.

Season 1 follows quadriplegic orphan Ava Silva (played by Alba Baptista), who gains control over the renowned Warrior Nun’s abilities after having a divine artifact called the Halo inserted into her back. The Order of the Cruciform Sword (OCS), a covert nuns’ sect tasked with defending the world from demons, assigns her this new role, which she must now contend with.

Ava and Beatrice are preparing to defeat the erroneously identified angel and prophet, while Adriel, the devil they unintentionally released, begins to establish his own religion as Season 2 begins. Although the events of the first season are followed by those of the second season, the world-building, slow-burn romance, and character development in the second season far surpassed expectations.

It was thought that Warrior Nun’s establishment of its mythological and religious setting was a little too nuanced and heavy-handed when it was first released. But it was great fun to see, thanks to the committed performers and fantastic combat choreography. The series finally looks to have found its footing in Season 2.

It skillfully expanded on the themes and relationships that Season 1 had established while also skillfully building upon them. However, this has not yet been confirmed. Show fans have already urged the streaming service to order a third season of the show; I mean, how can we not? So, here are 20 more reasons to adore the Warrior Nun actor and embark on and acknowledge her journey. We hope you enjoy watching them.
