WandaVision is a Disney+ miniseries based on the Marvel Comics characters, Wanda Maximoff and Vision. The events are set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and continue after that of Avengers: Endgame. We will see Wanda and Vision as a newlywed couple in the suburban town of Westview. And as they live out their lives concealing their powers, Wanda finds out that something isn’t right. If you remember correctly, Vision had passed away in Avenger: Infinity War, so this scenario isn’t true. The series takes us through different decades of television as it pays homage to past sitcoms. WandaVision is the first of many Disney+ miniseries in Phase Four of MCU. And the story will be setting up the events for Spiderman: Multiverse of Madness. The first two episodes of the miniseries were premiered on January 15, 2021. And this article will give you a preview and details regarding WandaVision Episode 3.
WandaVision Episode 1 Recap
The episode starts with WandaVision in a 1950s sitcom style of black and white television. The show has an intro visualizing a newlywed couple of Wanda and Vision moving to the small town of Westview. The scene switches to Wanda in the kitchen cleaning up while Vision is just about to leave for his work. During any humor, we can hear the laughter audio tracks similar to those of sitcoms. As they have a conversation, Vision notices a heart drawn on the calendar. They both seem to have forgotten the occasion, but it’s impossible considering Vision is a robot. Both of them pretend they know what the occasion is and consider it something special between the two. After which, Vision leaves for work after nearly forgetting to disguise his face.
As Vision leaves, there is a knock on the door. It was Agnes; their next-door neighbor had come to welcome them to the block. After greeting one another, they discuss their move to the town. For which Wanda makes use of wordplay to get through to hide their powers. But the problem seems to be, even though Wanda feels that they are married, neither has she had a ring, nor she knows when they got married. She shares with Agnes regarding the special and concludes that it’s their anniversary. Agnes wishes to help her with the plans for setting the scene and heads to bring a magazine. Later, as they prepare for the occasion, Wanda realizes that they don’t have a special song and learns a few seduction techniques from Agnes.
Back to Vision, he is working at a Computation Service where his work involves producing computational forms. Being a robot, he is swift and efficient at raising the company’s productivity by 300%. Vision himself is unaware of his occupation as he asks regarding the company’s workings to his co-worker, Norm. Being called a walking computer for his work speed, Vision tries to cover up his powers. When he uses his problem back at home as an excuse for his behavior, he soon learns that the heart on the calendar indicated his dinner with his boss, Mr. Hart, and his wife. He finds out that his job was hanging in the balance on the dinner and calls up Wanda to notify her. Wanda, who was preparing for her “anniversary,” assures Vision she has everything under control. Between their exchanges of dialogues, they still aren’t able to identify the miscommunication.
As the Harts arrive for dinner, Wanda is unaware of reality and is dressed in a semi scandalous dress to greet Vision. They make it up as a Sokovian way of greeting and clothing as Wanda is introduced as a European. Vision takes Wanda in as he explains the situation to her. As much as he appreciates her efforts, they need a home-cooked meal for the guests. She contacts Agnes as she provides her with items to prepare a four-course meal. As Agnes leaves, Wanda makes use of her magic to prepare the food. Mrs. Hart, on hearing the clattering of dishes, sees it as a domestic emergency as she tries to help Wanda out. That when Vision starts singing Yakety Yak and proposes a singalong. Creating a mess in the kitchen, Wanda seeks Vision’s help to tenderize the meat he ends up pulverizing.
Things start looking bleak for Vision as Mrs. Hart’s heads start spinning with hunger. Mr. Hart starts to feel that Vision is not management material. He had high hopes for him but is barely able to keep it together at his place. That’s when Wanda using her magic, serves up breakfast for dinner. While they dine, the Harts ask the couple some questions regarding their marriage and reason for moving. As Wanda and Vision try to recollect the story, Mr. Hart starts choking on some food while his wife keeps repeating, “Stop it.” Wanda and Vision realize they can save the man with their abilities but hesitate to hide their powers. Wanda finally asks Vision to help him out as he uses his ability to bring out a stuck bite from his throat. All well, the Harts proceed to leave with an impending promotion waiting for Vision on Monday.
After the Harts leave, the couple discusses how they don’t have an anniversary, a song, or even wedding rings. They decide on the very day to be their anniversary from Yakety Yak as their song, and the wedding rings are popped up by Wanda. As the episode proceeds to end in a sitcom style, the picture zooms out to someone watching them on television. This setting is in the present day, surrounded by screens. A person notes something down on a notebook and places it on the table. It appears that the logo was that of the organization called S.W.O.R.D. This is an organization which, according to comics, deals with counterterrorism and extraterrestrial threats.
WandaVision Episode 2 Recap
Now it appears that the setting of WandaVision is switched to the 1960s. As Vision and Wanda are sleeping, they both hear a thudding sound that frightens them. On checking it out, for the moment, they find that it was a tree branch. During their conversation, they realize that they weren’t able to fit in the neighborhood yet as Vision hears remarks of a few unsavory characters who had settled in the neighborhood. The next day, on their quest to fit in the neighborhood, they both prepare to take part in a talent show. The vision was about to do fake magic without his abilities. Talent show Fundraiser is the most important event; they don’t want to mess up as Wanda mentions of leaving for Planning Committee Meeting. At the same time, Vision heads out to meet up with the Neighborhood Watch, who were to meet in Library that day.
Planning Committee Meeting
As Wanda is about to leave for the meeting, she again hears a thudding sound outside. On checking it out, she finds a toy helicopter with a S.W.O.R.D. Logo on it, and surprisingly it is the only thing with color. Just then, Agnes arrives with a bunny for Wanda’s show later as they both head out for Dottie’s place. As they head there, Agnes warns Wanda to mind herself around Dottie as she was the key to everything in town, including country club memberships, parties, school admissions, etc. Wanda suggests that she could be herself when Dottie arrives for the meeting. As they discuss the matter, Dottie and Wanda appear to have gotten off on the wrong foot. Wanda is barely able to fit in with the ques of the rest. During this meeting, she makes a new friend named Geraldine, who looks somewhat similar to someone.
Later, as Wanda is picked to “help” out in the cleaning, she tries making amends with Dottie. Not being given enough room to work in, Dottie starts to be suspicious of Wanda. As she had heard something about them to which Wanda only says that she means no harm. Just then, the radio starts acting up as a voice starts calling out for Wanda, asking her if she can hear him and who was doing this to her. Panicking, Dottie asks who’s that voice is and who Wanda was as the radio blows up. During this, Dottie hurts up her palm with blood coming out. Again during a whole black and white scenario, only the blood appears to be in color.
As Vision arrives at the meeting, he realizes that it was a members-only thing. As they were getting on to new business, Vision takes it as an opportunity to discuss his matters. He asks regarding their security patrols, relation to law enforcement, and their protocols to threats. Norm tells him that new businesses meant another round do Danish. As the group starts sharing gossip in which Vision fits in, saying Norm was a communist. They all laugh it off as Herbert proceeds to give him a Big Redgum. He starts chewing it thinking it as a way for mastication. Just then, Herbert, who seems to have developed a liking for Vision, pats him on the back. This causes Vision to swallow the gum, which seems to have gotten stuck in his internal gears.
Later, we see Wanda panicking as Vision hadn’t arrived for the performance yet. Just then, Vision arrives while appearing to have some damage in his system. He acts drunk as Wanda tries to tell him regarding the events that took place that day. As the show starts, he is stumbling upon everything while performing magic tricks with his abilities. Wanda keeps a level head as she conceals their truth by her wiggle of fingers. Making it feel like a goofy, slapstick magic show. As much as the audience was wowed by it, Vision thinks he ruined the show and apologizes. He tells Wanda how he was feeling weird all day. Wanda uses her magic to bring out the gum stuck in his gears, and both try to sneak away. As they leave, they are called out on stage to receive an award.
At home, as the couple is relieved at their unexpected victory, Wanda suddenly gets pregnant. Both seemingly happy were about to kiss when they are interrupted again by a thudding sound. Both of them head to the yard to find out someone emerging from a maintenance hole. This person was wearing a beekeeper outfit with a S.W.O.R.D. Logo on his back. We can figure that the man starts looking at them when a frightened Wanda says, “No.” The time rewinds as the two are back at the moment where they were about to kiss. This time when they do, Wanda notices that Vision’s face was in color. And surroundings all get filled with bright colors indicating that the setting had now changed to the 1970s. As the two of them kiss again, the credits roll to a man calling out to Wanda, asking who was doing this to her?

WandaVision Episode 3 Preview
After the first two episodes of WandaVision, we know that the events preceding aren’t real. This could be a part of Wanda’s imagination, or someone could be manipulating her. And another thing to be noted is the appearance of the S.W.O.R.D. Logo. It is confirmed that they seem to be observing their actions, judging by the drone and the man watching them on television.
The beekeeper shown at the end of episode 2 could refer to either “Swarm” or AIM. Swarm in the comics was one of Adolf Hitler’s top scientists. And considering Hydra is a part of MCU, Swarm could also play a significant role. Meanwhile, it could even be an indication of the organization called AIM. This organization has previously appeared in MCU, headed by Aldrich Killian. Due to their outfits, the organization’s henchmen are referred to as “the beekeeper guys.” There is no actual preview given for the episode, so we can only predict what is to come in the future as the couple sets out in a 70s setting.
