Chainsaw Man Anime Will Be Released In 2021, It Is Being Worked On!

Chainsaw Man Release Date

Chainsaw Man is without a doubt one of the best recent manga series out there; with it’s growing popularity, people dreamt of having an anime series to go along with it. Well, it looks like the dream has come true!

Unfortunately, there aren’t any confirmed release dates to look forward to, just some internet rumors, but when it comes to Chainsaw, man, we’ll take all the rumors we can get.

The Manga

Tatsuki Fujimoto is the man behind Chainsaw man; he was also the one who made Fire Punch. The series started rolling out in late December of 2018; it was announced the manga would reach its end in December 2020. The manga was very well received all around, selling over 3 million copies by late August of 2020.

The Plot

Chainsaw man follows a Devil VS Human story, but in the most fun way possible. In a world filled with devils who have a taste for killing humans, warriors rise to save humanity. We follow the life of human Denji and his devil dog friend Pochita; Denji is living his life paying back his father’s debt to the Yakuza. Sometime down the line, things go awry, events unfold which cause him to be an all-out devil Hunter backed by newly found Devil powers, which you guessed are chainsaws.

The manga, which was released in 2018, has been able to amass a cult following ever since, so an anime release is inevitable.

The Hype

The hype started when Younkou Productions tweeted, “chainsaw man is getting an anime.” Check out the tweet.

The Chainsaw news account also backed this tweet right after.

From what we know, MAPPA is supposedly going to produce the whole thing; with them, behind this anime, we can expect only great things. MAPPA also has Attack On Titan under their wing, not just AOT but many other really popular anime, so Chainsawman being the newest addition is going to boost the company to a whole new level. Their company website right now includes an upcoming Chainsawman anime adaptation mention, so now it’s just a matter of official confirmation.

With how things progress really fast lately, we might be able to see season 1 right next year. When it comes to the plot, we have no news to rely on, but this is for sure that Tatsuki Fujimoto will be fully involved. As we said, we have no idea what route the anime will take when compared to the manga, but without a doubt, it will follow the original storyline closely. All we can do is wait for some official statements to be made.

It looks like the wait is getting lesser and lesser as days go by for the announcement of the anime; it doesn’t seem too far off when Chainsaw man will finally start running on digital platforms.
