Gold Rush Season 14, the enduring unscripted adventure reality show on Discovery Channel, delves into the lives of gold miners in the Yukon. The season kicked off with Parker Schnabel, diving headfirst both financially and physically, into a 4-acre plot, completing the task in just three days. Exhausting his crew and pushing his equipment to the brink, he embraced a high-stakes approach of risk and reward.
We’ve seen Rick Ness battling his inner demons and barely making a gold yield to keep the landlord away, and now, as you’ll see in our spoiler-heavy recap for context, things are getting complicated for these miners.

Let’s kick off with Tony Beets, his wash plant conveyor belt got jammed, and he had to shovel it out. After a scene in which Tony shoots up a squirrel, he manages to yield 119.66 ounces of gold after getting his equipment completely unjammed and fixed.
Then we move on to Parker Schnabel, whose all-in bet on that new piece of land he purchased isn’t coming along as well as he expected. So, he decided to open up a new cut on Ken and Stewart’s ground. The wash plant gets moved and the loader gets wrapped around a tree creating a minor setback during operations. After we see a scene with Tyson complaining miserably, Parker’s crew manages to do a clean-up that yields 182.35 ounces.
After that, comes poor old Rick Ness, battling financial ruin, and substance abuse and he’s back operating the bacon strip with wash plant rocky. He miraculously manages to move the generator and the water pump across a huge creek without anyone having any kind of issue nor the equipment is damaged.
Then, comes the trouble, because once the equipment is installed, the wash plant works until the generator gets flooded. They remove the excess water and they decide to put it in a location not surrounded by torrents of water. Of all the crews, Tony’s the one with the lowest yield: 11,93 ounces. Barely enough to keep the landlord away.
