The group consists of four dazzling stars- leader Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa.

Some critics even considered their debut as one of the best Kpop debuts of 2014, which is a huge thing. After 2014 falls under the 3rd generation kpop, where we welcomed various worldwide famous kpop bands such as GOT7, Hotshot, Infinite F, Lovelyz, Red Velvet, etc. Also, due to their strong stage persona, MAMAMOO members always stand out from the crowd. The members are recognized for their jazz, R&B, retro concepts, and strong vocal performances. Therefore, MAMAMOO’s discography consists of 3 studio albums, 1 compilation album, 44 music videos, 11 EPs, 25 singles, and 17 promotional singles.

Besides the group activities, the members are focused on their solo careers. Since each member possesses a unique charm, there is no doubt Moomoos (MAMAMOO Fandom Name) can’t help but fall in love with them!

Solar

Kim Yong Sun, better known by her stage name Solar, was born on 21 February 1991 in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. She attended Modern K Music Academy University. Solar is the leader and one of MAMAMOO members. Before joining the Kpop industry, Solar dreamed of becoming a flight attendant. She even created the official fan song for Moomoos.

Seeing such a vast discography, it’s no wonder Moonbyul has written the rap parts by herself. However, not many know, but initially, she had auditioned for a vocalist position but changed to become a rapper later. Besides her singing career, Moonbyul enjoys playing MapleStory game!
